I could see some sort of Next-Gen opportunity where guests could use cards to activate items in the queue with "The Force".

yea cause THAT's what guests are traveling MILES to see. :snore: A decadent WDI-FL Speak n Spell/Simon Tomb. I bet there was a 7hr wait the day it opened! Oh wait there wasn't and it was universally panned online. :hurl:

meanwhile, parents can take thier kids to REAL QUALITY experiences at Ollivander's, Hogsmeade stores, Forbidden Journey, the NEW HD reanimated Spiderman, NEW Blue Man Group Show, NEW Universal CineSpectacular, NEW Universal Parade, NEW Despicable Me, NEW Turtle Trek and NEW Antartica. Oh wait......but none of those have Mickey or Minnie dressed up as Harry and Hermione or Goofy dressed up as Draco or Disney font signs. So it must all be evil, cheap, and low quality........ :snore::rolleyes:

You don't think parents drive 100s of miles to see their kids having fun?
You clearly aren't a parent then.

You mean having fun RIDING ACTUAL RIDES, swimming in hotels pools and doing maybe other ancillliary activiies? YES. If your traveling from Debuke to see video screens then NO, i DON'T think that. NOONE in thier right mind is dropping 4-5K to hear "Fairy Godmother voice ghosts" recite poetry and play with honey. And to insinuate such is insulting the parents who want to take thier kids to see teh CLASSIC atttractions THEY grew up with and that WDI and TDO, in unison, are working so hard to destroy.

I drive hundreds of miles to WDW, too, and I don't do that because I want to get a migraine listening to noisemakers in the "interactive" queues. I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment. Disney could end up ticking off just as many people as they please if they continue to follow the same philosophy they employed for HM's graveyard.

The HM graveyard is especially odious because it ruins one of the surprises of the ride (finding out the ghosts are friendly).[/

Destroy how? By adding some extra entertainment to some queues? Queues like HM (and the KidCot stops in EP) are optional. And no, they're not coming for the queues. But they are coming for the rides and for some the additions are a welcome find.

The reasons the HM Queue destroyed HM has been argued ad nauseum here and on other blogs and fan sites. Google it.... There are many reasons. the ENTIRE premise and purpose for the Mansion existing HAS been destroyed.

For GOOD....and REAL progress. Not "Omg, look at our shiny new toys. Look what WE can do w/ one bill!!"

Watching my child enjoy both the new stuff in both the HM and Pooh line, giving her something to do while waiting IS progress to me....thanks.... It is my opinion, just like it is yours that the additions are poor.

But since, according to you, that my child is a "little brat", "emotionally fragile pre-schooler" because she enjoys these thing, your opinion has no meaning to me.:)

Google what? The online rants of some HM "purists" who believe an optional queue now and forever destroyed the ride? Not the most balanced or representative of focus groups there. No thanks.

And the Disney Soccer Mom Brigade IS balanced and representative?? We're the ones who made the parks.

Tossing out rabid and easy points of attack doesn't quite make your arguments valid. The decision to enhance these queues go slightly beyond a single group.

Adding entertainment to queues is a good thing. Disney's execution has just been poor. (Except for Pooh - besides the noisy garden, that queue was well done.)

And some would say the same about the HM queue. And those that didn't bypasssed it.....

Meanwhile, parents will like seeing the likes of this:

"Isn't it so cute I love watching my kids banging their hands against bronze plaque which makes noise just like something you can find at your local McDonald's during your vacation that you spent hundreds of dollars on, Yeah, every parents dream.

You do know that a LOT of the obnoxious noise bleeds into the standby queue right.

Ive been in countless McDonalds all over this country and I have never, ever, seen a bronze plaque that makes noise.

No, because I've never really focused on it. Particularly when either it's busy or when the queue flows right into the mansion itself.

And let's face it, some random sounds from a queue that can be bypassed aren't enough to make or break anyone's vacation.

Just remember, WDW isn't for everyone, its for the soccer moms.

"Oh, isn't that cute? Hunter put down his Nintendo DS for a few seconds to touch this bronze plaque."
