As the subject indicates, I'm a Newfie! (And for those of you who are not familiar, a Newfie is someone from Newfoundland, Canada.) I love this website. I've been checking it out since my recent trip to WDW. I love reading all the forums and I just couldn't hold off any longer putting in my 2 cents worth... so here I am!:wave: I'm a mom of two and now I'm turning my kids into Disney Fans. (My son asks everyday if daddy made enough money to go back to WDW) Now I just need to learn the tech side to all this. I'm not that good at computers (or should I say I'm learning):shrug:

Welcome! :wave:

One of my college roomies married a Newfie! :)

Tell him/her good choice on a life partner!:) You don't happen to know where in Newfoundland this particular person was from? We're a big province but we still like to know where people are from.

Welcome fellow Canuck! :sohappy:

I've been to the Rock, but it was some time ago and I wasn't exactly sober when I arrived, did George Street and was far from sober when I left.

So I have nothing but fond memories of the place! :ROFLOL:

Yes, anything out of the ordinary or odd in any way can comfortably be explained by "It's a Canadian thing". :rolleyes:

:ROFLOL:

Maybe this is a good time to ask a question that I have been wondering about for years. How did Canada take ham and turn it into Canadian Bacon? Looks like plain ol ham to me. :shrug:

In fact, what Americans quaintly refer to as "Canadian Bacon" is referred to here as either "Back Bacon" or "Pea-meal Bacon". Where ham comes from the leg of the pig, back bacon comes from the back and standard breakfast bacon comes from the belly {in the US only bacon from the belly can be called "Bacon" - any other cut has to have some qualifier added ['smoked pork loin bacon, back bacon, etc...]}

Perfectly clear now. Thank you.:D
