I pre-ordered mine about a year ago...I recently got something from Amazon saying that it should deliver between April 2006 and May 2007 :lol:

Safe to say that was a "joke". Disney is not releasing Song of the South at all after lengthy internal conversations and the chat Iger had at the shareholders meeting.

Well, the Animal Kingdom just recently came out for preorder, while the Disney-MGM one probably won't happen for a little bit as the park seems to be a mess, but that is only speculation on my part.

Possible insight into the Imagineering Legends book (and maybe the DAK book, too) delays...
Back when we were all waiting eagerly for the Imagineering Field to Magic Kingdom to come out, I had the opportunity to participate in the "Dine with an Imagineer" program. Alex Wright was our Imagineer, who also happens to write the Imagineering Field Guides. Apparently the delay with the MK field guide was that they missed the printing deadline by only a couple of days, but then had to wait months and months for a new opening at the printing house. Not sure if that's what's happening here, but it's a possibility.

Still waiting for the Genesis book too. On preorder since forever. Amazon US and UK don`t know much either, and they have different delivery dates - both of which have slipped a few times now.
The Mountains book will be out before Genesis at this rate...

I loved Epcot and MK's field guides. I hope they do a Disneyland and a Resorts one as well.

The Imagineering field guide books are fantastic, definitely check them out.. The AK one should be fantastic.
