As for the interview,
You'll do GREAT!! Remember to smile, eye contact, sit on the edge of your chair, take notes, get business cards and SEND THANK YOU NOTES as soon as you get home.

Let me know how it goes.

Anyhow, I'm not a die-hard fan either way. I don't understand why people get so passionately anti-one or the other. The only reason I stopped going to Sox games is because I hate new Comisky.

Personally I'm not a horticulturist so I don't know what it takes to kill a stripe of ivy.

I mostly get passionate about the anti thing because of they way cubs fans have always been. every single cubs fan I have ever know has always given me crap for being a sox fan. sure, we don't have a beautiful comiskey park, but I like it. it is where my team plays. and because of the black sox of 1919 (I was not yet even thought of.....) etc etc.

but even that doesn't get me riled up. it is the comments like what was placed inthe paper that shows the unbelieveable crap that both the sox organization and the fans get when it comes to the press.

Comiskey park is a beautiful place. no one liked it because it was compared to wrigley. then everyone said it "looked likea shopping mall", not a ballpark. well, comiskey was in dire need to be re-built, and they just happened to be one of the first of the MLB parks to do so. Unfortuantly, they didn't do it to the former expectations of what a ball park should be, but to the new generation of kids coming into the ballparks. No one gives crap to the new stadium in Milwalkee, even though it looks just like comiskey is archetechure designs.

As long as they have a place to play, I will forever love my team and my stadium.

*stepping down of the soap box*

and I am done with this conversation. ok, so it is one sided...but I am done now. :)

ps-> erika, none of this was directed at you. I have been needing to vent to someone, and my boyfriend is a cubs fan....so I can't vent to him. ;)

Aww... Don't leave. We need to stay united as one city as we battle for the crown of ultimate pizza and baseball.... I love the Cubs and the Sox!!! I'm a rare one. I like the bleachers at Comisky almost as much as the Bleachers at Wrigley.

But let's not lose sight of one thing here... We have named Uno's, Gino's, Lou's from Chicago...

What are the names of the pizza places in NY??? Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Domino's pop into mind.

Well, I loved old Comisky as much as I love Wrigley, but the "new" stadium makes me sooo dizzy. I feel like I am going to fall at any moment and get tipsy just walking down the steps-- and that's WITHOUT drinking! I have not been to any of the other new stadiums so I really can't compare.

To be perfectly honest, it would not surprise me to find out that a Sox fan had vandalized Wrigley, NOR WOULD IT SURPRISE ME TO FIND THAT A CUBS FAN HAD VANDALIZED COMISKY. It's just that ugly (between the 2 groups).

I come from a "mixed" family so good-natured ribbing is always expected, and fun. But never more than that.

Funny thing happened to me in history class one day. I discovered that there is an ENTIRE school of Architecture called the Chicago School. It was so well liked and adored, that the glass and steel buildings in New York City were of this school. (School doesn't necessary mean a building where you learn... it's a class of architecture).

Kinda weird, eh???
