New Year's Eve Announcement?

Perhaps the RFID project, or pieces of it - hence the name "more magic"

I also wonder if it had something to do with the seemingly random "magical interactions" with the Disney characters they had in Times Square last month. NOTHING was going on at the store that weekend - it had to be a pilot for something. I wonder if this will be used to help announce whatever it is/show the public on TV how it works...

The return of the castle cake in magical kingdom
The return of the wand at Epcot
The removal of the hat at the studio
You get to choose one these to celebrate to come true in a online poll starting new year eve,

"In honor of leap year, every AP will be good for one additional day, absolutely free!" :lookaroun

:ROFLOL: I wouldn't put it past them.

My predictions:
Avatarland has been cancelled to make way for Lucasland.
The hat will magically disappear at the stroke of midnight on NYE.
GF DVC is really just an expansion of the beach.
A huge AC will open at either DHS or AK.
And LoW will be back for Christmas 2012.

Happy Year of More Magic :king:

I know the surprise! I know the surprise! The surprise is that they are reopening Narnia at Hollywood Studios!!! Isn't that great!!! :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Just from past experience, but it seems anytime Disney says they are going to make a surprise or special announcement it's usually followed by a THUD! or the sound of a balloon popping.

Well that also probably has to do with the fact that we find out about almost every project before it gets announced. We also tend to have such high expectations that Disney has no chance from the get go.

I would like to think it has something to do with plans for Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island. Staggs mentioned after the expo we should be hearing something "in the weeks and months to come". Hopefully, that time has come. Also, project plans for that area would probably not involve cast members finding out and blabbing.. :p

Just a hunch here... maybe they have devised a new way to charge/upcharge and/or overcharge for attractions/entertainment that are currently included with the tickets. :zipit:
