How do you sign up for passholder emails? My AP is linked to my MDE account but I've never got an email from them.

why on a Sunday evening?! :banghead:

I would assume it is on a Sunday because having a smaller crowd in MK and Epcot on a night when the parks are at lighter levels is MUCH better for their bottom dollar, than closing MK or Epcot earlier than they need to on a busier night of the week.. not to mention the lighter crowds will make the logistics a lot easier for clearing the non-APs out of the park. I just wish I'd get emails so I could plan my quarterly visits to my parents on weeks/weekends where these perks are accessible..

Technically speaking, with Silver's 77 blackout dates and the cost after tax you need to go approximately 47 days (46.75400 for those playing along at home) for $10 a visit, so in the applicable 288 days, you need to spend 16.3% of your year at Walt Disney World, which can be done if you spend Saturday and Sunday at WDW for 6 months.

If we were to add Gold to that, Gold would need to go approximately 63 days (62.72900 for those playing along at home) for $10 a visit, so in the applicable 341 days, you need to spend 19.65% of your year at Walt Disney World, which can be done if you spend Saturday and Sunday at WDW for 8 months.

That's why I believe the Silver tier is primed for about a $50-100 pricing increase since between Silver and Gold is a $159.75 pricing difference. That's why Theme Park Select in my feeling was introduced, which it's on average 118 days blocked out (without MK it goes to a paltry 77 days)

Some fun metrics for everyone (New APs only); Blackout dates are from June 2018 - July 2019:

Note: The Passport prices have a 3.25% sales tax oddly enough when Florida's Sales tax in Orange County is 6.5%. This could be a generalization between California since apparently there is no sales tax on tickets for Disneyland according to some quick google searching.

You forget: Gold and higher get “free” Photopass.

I didn't get an email (I never do) but saw that others were getting in and managed to register for the August 5th event at MK. Only saw 3 of the 4 party members so had the 4th register themselves and they also managed to get in for August 5.

We are quite excited to be attending!

Only getting a message that says "Please register a primary guest from your party"
I, too, am only seeing that message. I wonder if I cannot register for V.I.Passholder Night because we're already registered for the TSL passholder preview...? Maybe only one event per month...?

Wow late to the party but was able to register for Sept 6th. Like some I'd prefer MK, but I happen to be going the first week of Sept so the 6th at epcot is is. It defaulted putting my mom on there as well, but she only has the weekday select so she wasn't eligible. I thought maybe since she was auto added it would've let me, but it did give me an error when I tried before removing her.
