New Tomorrowland Rock Paint Job

the metallic finish brings out the texturing on the rocks...which is a plus...I look forward to seeing the completed look... I do like it better than the Sedona rocks they used to have...

Indeed. I was hoping for a Miles ride to replace SGR, but apparently that honor will go to WIR. But to help with the land's thematics, it feels like there's definitely a reinforcement/shift of Sci-Fi Tomorrow vs Real-Life Tomorrow. I know they're just colors but they seem Sci-Fi to me. I like.

I agree that they are a little strange looking when they are 'in process' but all of the completed ones look great. Part of it is that we're just SO used to seeing the brown/tan rocks. I hope they are done by October 1st (first day of my trip)

It's been Sci-Fi tomorrow since 1994. Alien Encounter, Timekeeper, etc.

Pieces of...sure. Complete immersion...not so much.

This is one of those things where you need to see the full finished product to get the whole look of it. Its hard to make a judgement on a half finished project like this.

That blue looks pretty bright in the photo, but I like the metallic effect. Will see it in 17 days...looking forward to checking it out at night, in particular.

Not sure I'd give up the neon, even for pretty rocks!

What they need to do is turn the speedway into some sort of "floating" car racer ride. Think of the new Lexus hoverboard technology they introduced last year. Something like that on the track with little shielded propellers for propulsion. Now THAT's Tomorrowland!

At least the brown/tan rocks in the photo blended better with the brackish color of the water!!

Do you think they'll continue the new color scheme with new nighttime lighting for Space Mountain? We were watching the Dreamlights parade at Tokyo Disneyland and saw their Space Mountain continually change color from blue to purple. Everything else in Tomorrowland seems to be getting a new paint job. Just wondering.

I love the colorful new rocks...but REALLY miss the old gull-wing waterfalls...That was epic and placemaking...

I don't remember those as a kid visiting...but seeing pictures, they are beautiful! They are really what reminds me of "tomorrowland", rather than rocks...

Nearly all the rocks on the Stitch/Cosmics side are done with most of them being a metallic blue. They looks great!
