New Tomorrowland Rock Paint Job

Over the next month or two, the rocks at the entrance to Tomorrowland will be repainted to a new metallic purple color. It will be quite the change and will start on the Stitch/Cosmics side. It's part of the ongoing color scheme refresh that started with the TTA and Astro Orbiter a couple years ago and has recently come to the Carousel of Progress.

This project is very hit and miss. CoP = hit. Peoplemover station = miss. Purple rocks don't sound much better but we'll see.

The final verdict on this matter. Everything else said about the TL entrance is trivial.


Nevertheless undetterredly adding to the trivialities, in DLP at last they've seen the light (Tangled creeping into my mind there?) and removed rock work at the entrance. Why oh why did they think in the 90's that nothing said 'Tomorrow' just like oddly coloured rock work?

....okay, okay, so they removed it for ease of passage, but regardless the area looks much better and futuristic.

Both of those say welcome to the past. The only difference is the first one is so old it qualifies as retro making it cool again.

I'm interested to see what this looks like when they're finished. There are many complaints that Tomorrowland needs work and attention, and it's getting it.
