No, it wasn’t. Not nowerdays anyway sadly.@marni1971 I kind of meant surely the money saved isn’t substantial enough to fund an entire attraction in itself, unless it’s a very cheap overlay.

These types of big theaters are expensive, and WDW has never attempted something like this before. They have a 2,000 seat Broadway-caliber theater at Disneyland Resort, the Hyperion Theatre, and it's impressive to see how much money they invest in lighting, sound, special effects, etc. Not to mention the higher caliber of stage talent they put into more lavish shows there.
Again, nothing like that exists in WDW. These types of Broadway-caliber facilities are very expensive to build from scratch.
While WDW has several theaters that can seat 1,000+ people, the scale and scope of this type of theater is on an entirely different level.
1,500 seat Finding Nemo - The Musical at WDW = Wooden benches on all one level, warehouse style building.
2,000 seat Hyperion Theatre at Disneyland Resort = Upholstered seats on four levels (Orchestra, Upper Orchestra, Mezzanine, Balcony)
I was told it was cancelled due to it blocking an emergency vehicle route. Apparently Reedy Creek shut it down.

Plans show enough space for two firetrucks to fit side by side to get round it. The existing firelane wouldn't even have been blocked.

Because the Main Street Fire Dept got evicted? Why would Reedy Creek need to bring their firetrucks when Main Street has its own fire dept.?

More efficient to just hold up a card and let Monstro quench the flames.Because the Main Street Fire Dept got evicted?

How many seats was the WDW theatre going to have?
Does it include a singing Hugh Jackman?I expect that it could be had at a bargain price.
Or maybe cause they just enclosed an outdoor theater and kept the seating...Reasoning:
1) WDW = tourists
2) California = locals

What is that?
It is for the MK cast appreciation event next week. Nothing more.

Personally, I'm in the upper section of being middle aged, and the looping coaster has more appeal to me.I realize WDW isn't going to steal guests from Uni with a ride like this. You missed my point...what has the greater age appeal...a looping coaster or productions at the theater?
