New Studios parade to be named 'Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun!'

Countdown to Fun?

Wow, that's bad. I guess I should be thankful it didn't involve the words "Wishes" or "Dreams".

Still, that's the best they could come up with?

Does anyone know what % of this parade (other than the lousy name) will be new and what % will be a repackage of the old parade?

So, if there parade is a countdown to fun, does that mean that the fun begins when the parade (and thus the countdown) is over? Or am I overthinking this?

They seem to be continuously moving away from the traditional parade format with floats are more and more into just having walking entertainers. I'm more a fan of floats personally.

Ugh... terrible name. What uninspired pencil-pusher came up with that one?
Oh come on, do all DHS parades have to be completely Pixar themed now?
The other three parades on property have no Pixar, so I don't think this is a big deal.

Again, only at DHS. The other three parades are still the old format.

This sounds exactly like Block Party Bash. Why bother to replace a parade with the exact same parade?

I do like both Pixar Play Parade and Block Party Bash including the music. They're very high energy but... it sounds like we're getting pretty much the same thing. I would rather get a new parade at MK or AK. Haven't they had theirs longer?

Except Block Party is not a parade, it's a traveling show. It stops, performs and then moves on. Countdown to Fun will have a traditional parade format.

At Magic Kingdom, Share a Dream Come True Parade opened Oct 1, 2001. It was modified to Disney Dreams Come True in Aug 2006 and then Celebrate a Dream Come True in January 2009.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade also opened in 2001.

I don't see how that is true at all. Disney parades use a combination of floats and walking/dancing performers.

This was my though, too. Also, what "fun" will take place at the end of the parade?

Count me among those who think this is a stupid name. However, I love the format of these types of parades. So much more fun and exciting than watching a float slowly ride by with a character waving to me.

Yeah, but I could settle for a few Pixar floats in every parade rather than just one whole parade themed to Pixar. I like the feeling of Pixar characters and Disney characters integrating rather than feel seperate.

Disney Jim Crow laws I guess. This is a Pixar character drinking fountain only!

I'd like a DHS parade that has an old hollywood premier feel to it. Stars and Motor Cars was rather dull, but it at least it had that feel.

Actually, the only rule is that they be second-hand parades shipped out from California after a few seasons of running at DCA.

"Countdown To Fun!" is the lyrics from what is now running in DCA as the Pixar Play Parade. It's a really fun parade, especially in warm weather when they really crank up the water effects from the floats and performers. Have a look at DHS's new parade once it gets shipped out from Anaheim after Christmas!

Here's a Youtube clip of the new DHS parade in action. Everyone countdown to fun!

It will be interesting to see if the more advanced choreography used in California parades makes it out to Florida. Everytime I see a parade at WDW it's just sort of a step-step-shuffle-step thing that seems overly basic. Maybe it's the humidity?

Terrible name, but it's nice to see Pixar get some love.

That being said, I can't remember the last time the fam made a concerted effort to watch a parade that wasn't Spectro.

Couldn't they have just used something that'd be a bit more easier to remember like 'Pixar Pals Parade' instead of something that seems a bit longer and a bit rubbish.
