New Studios parade to be named 'Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun!'

I'm so dissapointed in the replacement of Block Party Bash. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was gonna be all new stuff and what not. I feel like this is a huge step backwards, Block Party Bash is my favorite parade/show. Ugh.

It seems like the Disney parades have had their magic sucked out of them. They're now just mobile dance parties.

It was my understanding the Up and Ratatouille floats from DCA... in addition I thought it was too tall to fit under the new catenaries in Hollywood once the new parade route opens.

Oh, good point! Some of the Pixar Play Parade floats are pretty tall, and that must be why these parade floats are getting shipped out to WDW this after Christmas.

I guess there was an option to have the catenary lines running at either 16 feet or 20 feet high above the streets of DCA. I hadn't heard word of which option they chose, but I think the 16 foot level looks more realistic considering the scale of the trolleys and the new buildings they'll be passing, like the new Carthay Circle Theater. The 16 foot level definintely rules out the taller floats from Pixar Play Parade from staying in DCA past Christmas.

Okay, wait. I just pieced together what some folks are saying here...

So they aren't just shipping out DCA's entire Pixar Play Parade to DHS in January and re-christening it the Countdown To Fun! Parade? They are just sending out a couple of Pixar Play Parade floats, adding them to the Block Party Bash floats, and re-using the Countdown To Fun song from Pixar Play Parade for the new soundtrack to this mish-mash parade at DHS?
