Is this *just* for the summer or *from* the summer? They are never very clear about this.

That's what I'm wondering. I'll be there in November, and the original plan was to skip DHS this trip, since there isn't much we can do with our infant, but all of this Star Wars stuff is really pulling me in. Throw in the fact that Celebrate the Magic is actually one of my favorite things at Disney World.

With the fact that there is a SW movie now every year (Rogue One this December), it wouldn't make much sense to stop it when summer is over. They also need to have other reasons to keep people in HS with fewer attractions while construction is going on.

Looks like they are taking the idea from Disneyland's Map Projection show...

I don't think they wanted it off to the side, I think conditions on the ground have dictated it. Even with foreground lasers and lighting, it makes no sense to have a launch off to one side - unless there is no other choice. Which I think is the case.
I hope it looks intentional and doesn't end up looking Disneyland-odd.

Unless of course there's further plans for the new facility further down the line...

Funny enough, first time I went to MK I was SHOCKED that the fireworks were directly behind the castle, I was like "Move that darn castle out of the way!"

Basically, I don't mind them to the side at Disneyland, but they also look real purdy directly behind the Castle at MK ;)

From the concept art, it looks like the stage would be a major obstruction for the projections/lasers.

Do you think this means we're getting a new stage as well?

This looks really cool. I hope they dont take too long to give us specific dates and times so I can plan accordingly

And if disney decides to not have Fantasmic at the same time, maybe they won't stop it completly, but just go back to having it once or twice a week so they can convince people to visit HS more than once while giving themselves some space to renovate Fantasmic inbetween showings.

I don't think they could do that before fall because they're booking dinner packages through August. But I could be wrong Disney giveth and Disney taketh away:confused:

I'm going in September and I think that's still unpredictable since the calendar released is...strange (no wishes 24 days of the month). Which is annoying since ADRs start soon. Or maybe they'll be nice and have fireworks+one showing of F! everyday

I really don't think there is much that can be done to make it look intentional. Whenever there are fireworks behind a central object, people are always expecting it to line-up.

Interesting that they don't show any close-up low-level pyro other than the flames. Wonder if we are losing those.

The castle stage arches in front of Cinderella's Castle haven't stopped them from doing projections there. In fact, for Celebrate the Magic they seemed to have found a way to avoid projecting on to the majority of the arches so who knows.

I doubt we'll see any. If they keep it, it will probably be like Wishes where small areas of Fantaslyand have to be closed off every night. Then we'd have the same problem like now where maybe ABC Commisary and GMR and maybe even Midway Mania would have to close because of the fireworks on those roofs. By keeping all of the fireworks at the Launch site (and just flames and lasers on the roof) nothing should have to close for this show.
