When I read that on the blog and in previous posts I thought they meant it take elements from both trilogies not that it actually was placed on the timeline between the trilogies.

I am concerned.

I guess at this point I'll just have to reserve judgement until I can ride it.

Don't be concerned ILM an Lucas won't let TDO meess this up. Since it will between the trilogies it means that the empire has just taken over and Obi Won has moved to Tattoine (spelling?). Pod racing or not this simulator has to be more thrilling than what it is now. The old one is mild compared to simulators of today.

Lucas has already messed up half of the Star Wars films tremendously. Lucas should have a restraining order filed against him at DHS.

I wouldn't say messed up. Granted they weren't great but episode 3 wasn't bad. 2 was bad but 1 was OK.

It's going to be fine I trust this more than the FLE.

Those prequels were needed though. I mean it couldn't have been that bad Episode 1 is one of the highest grossing movies ever.

I'm a casual Star Wars fan..I've seen all the movies (for better or worse ), but I've only been on Star Tours a few times (it's not a "must-do" for me).

Yet, that video got me pretty darn excited :D Thanks for sharing!

Actually, the entire prequel trilogy was pretty bad, and really unnecessary. The only reason it was made was for that reason: Lucas wanted that money.

Very nice. The feel is consistent with the original attraction video, but with modern graphics. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out, esp. with the 3D aspect and digital projection.

And the Alderaan comment was a joke, and a funny one. It's called irony... The safest planet in the galaxy is the first one blowed up by the Death Star. Who knew? I can't believer anyone would find this offensive. It's a pretend planet in a movie from 1977 with no racial overtones at all. Yikes.

I'm not a Star Wars god. But I'm a movie buff so my opinions maybe different. I loved Episode 6 the most then Episode 5 then Episode 4.

Then I liked Episode 3, 1, 2. My opinions are different from a Star Wars buff.

Maybe Lucas did it for that, but hey, so do a lot of directors in Hollywood. What made the others so great I believe is because (except episode 4) they had different directors. And Lucas was only the producer.

As much as I am not a fan of the prequels I don't think it was all about the money. I think Lucas had a story he wanted to tell, and he wanted to please the fans, but I also think it was partly his ego. He wanted to prove he could do it again, that he wasn't a one trick pony.

I'm sure the money didn't hurt.

I'm still waiting for someone on the Parks Blog post "we all know Team Disney Orlando will mess up this Star Wars Adventure :("

I would pay for someone to say that lol.

Well this turned into an "Arguing about prequels" thread pretty fast.
Personally, I think of the Prequels and the Original trilogy like I think of Cars and the rest of Pixar's movies. They look really bad compared to older works, but they still are pretty decent otherwise.
