NEW Smoking Settler's Cabin (Formerly Burning) as Seen from Liberty Belle Riverboat

I have to admit that for someone to attempt to plus this (fix? revive? ) effect is at least a positive, albeit misguided effort. I would imagine someone had the idea, went to management, and got a "sure, but there's no budget for this so don't spend any money" response. ( admittedly I have no idea if that's how it works at WDW, so don't flame me for guessing lol). At any rate, I like that there was an effort made, and I think the Teepee looks pretty good. The cabin definitely still needs work. I would love to see a return to the flames, but set it to smoke and ignite with the passing of the Riverboat. That would be maybe three times an hour? A cheaper lighting effect similar to POTC could be used at night as well. Just my thoughts on this.

... Yeah, because Disney became famous for all their half-assed products.

Now now, its pure magic.

It is something, and lets be honest some types of folks will see that as evidence of how simply magical Disney is.

On the subject of herbal , I understand they can be used as pain relief, perhaps the offenders puffing away were just fanbois trying to ease the pain of seeing Universal deliver a decent product, or maybe just trying to get relief from the irritation the Magic band has caused to their wrist.

Considering the cabin has sat for the better part of a decade with no effect whatsoever, I'd hardly say it's "defending mediocrity" to think that this is better than that. Nobody is saying that they would rather have this than the burning cabin.

Perhaps this is not the final product. The fact that Disney thought to do anything at all with the cabin after ten years is noteworthy. You could barely even see it the last few years from all the growth.
I agree, this may not look good, but it is a great sign that they actually did something. But having said that let's see if it is maintained, because I'm pretty sure goofinis rocket smoke at the Barnstormer hasn't worked in a long time.

It is probably just vapor mist, so it is a new "smoking" area. You all can break out your e-cigs. Can't they make it come out of more openings than just the front door? Kinda reminds me of an effect from Bill and Ted's excellent Adventure or Back to the Future in that it is such a limited opening.

As long as this thread continues to be negative, I'm gonna chime in again and say that this effect won't last too long.

I give it six months, it will then be followed up by the addition of a strobe light and fan.

AND.... There will be a fastpass plus to stand on that side of the boat. And a 'premium viewing package' at a cost of $29.99 per adult & $17.99 per child will be released soon.

There... Someone had to do it.

Fixed that for you. ;):Do_O
