New Rumors.....maybe.

Some of these may have already been discussed, or perhaps not. But we just got back from a week-long WDW trip yesterday and my folks had an interesting hour-long chat with a cast member in France who told them the following:

* Beginning this year, in Epcot, there will be at least two major new rides put in France and Morocco. France's ride will be based on Ratattoui and Morocco's will be based on Aladdin.

* A new country, Greece, will be added to World Showcase to the left of France.

* Several countries in World Showcase will be updating their rides. For example, Mexico is taking their boat ride out and replacing it with something somewhat thrilling, and in Morocco they have a huge empty warehouse behind Restaurant Marrakesh they will use for their Aladdin-based attraction.

* There will be more changes to Fantasyland that haven't even been announced yet: "many" new restaurants in the new section, and updated or brand new rides where old ones are removed. (This is pretty much not a new rumor, because we know which rides are leaving and what new ones or changed ones are going in.)

Oh, those silly World Showcase cast members. I think they delight in creating false hope. I don't think any of these things are in serious talks. World Showcase is certainly not on their radar as "next" to be fixed or improved on. It actually is the best part of Epcot right now...

Here's a rule I always follow:
Never trust what a cast member says. They are more clueless than the person in your avatar.

Those seem more like gossip them rumors. Cast Members, well at least the one's you would be run across and they are not privy to new additions until they become final and the word is out.

Did this CM by chance also tell you that the reasons that the center of the Swan and Dolphin are glass was because the monorail was going to go through them?:D

The sad part is how terribly unexciting those rumors would be anyways. Ha! I would be like "Seriously?? They are going to do THAT before ___________?"

SALT!!!!

Where's my salt lick? I need it on this one. :ROFLOL:

Rule #1 - Never trust the rumors of CM's.
Rule #2 - See Rule #1.

Why would they rip out The Grande Fiesta Tour after they just spend so much time and money "updating" it? (term used loosely) Not gonna happen. Sorry.

Also, The Morrocian government would never allow disney to put a character themed ride into their pavillion, they already don't allow disney to put Illuminations lights on the pavillion because it would be disrepectful to do so on a recreation of a religious building.

Not really sure about the french ride but I kind of don't see that happening either.

If you ask me (and probably most people on this site) Future World needs some TLC

Here is what I would love to see happen in FW (None of this is a rumor so don't get excited for this, just my opinion)

-A New Fountian in front of SSE.
-an update to the Imagination Pavillion
-Reopened the upstairs part of imageworks
-An updated Soarin' movie
-A new movie in the Land Pavillion
-Finally make it so that all the effects work in Nemo
-Put something in the Wonders of Life Pavillion or demolish it and replace it with a new Pavillion about either Weather or bring back the old theme of Health but in a building that isn't full of mold
-A new E-Ticket somewhere in this area, maybe in the new Pavillion where WOL was or in a new space.

That is what I would do to FW

No chance Greece would sponsor a pavilion. They are in such financial turmoil they could not afford to even send someone to Disney for free.
