Ahh profits, the only true way to judge a creative product. All hail the almighty Free Market.profits seem to suggest there's a good reason to.
Jokes aside, DIS made plenty of profit even in the days they clung to story, theme, and arguably the best customer service in the hospitality industry.
Profits and superior guest experience are not mutually exclusive. Now one might argue that as long as guests are forking over their $$$ that the guest experience is superior. I might postulate that even Walmart makes a profit and their guest experience is anything but superior.
For me, profits alone do not equate to a successful product. The best businesses historically, have their profit built into the production, distribution and quality of the product, not in finding ever increasing margins in their existing product catalogue.
