Yes it was.On the one hand, maybe that would have saved West. On the other hand.... That would likely have been truly awful. Was that one of the 'worse' options for the spine you alluded to?
Jesus. Were they going to base it off of the original concepts for Epcot Center, the Walt concepts? There was a central tower in those.A tower block on Communicore west.
It wasn’t exactly central. And very modern.Jesus. Were they going to base it off of the original concepts for Epcot Center, the Walt concepts? There was a central tower in those.
I didn't really mean central like that concept but more like the overall design. Specifically how both pieces of it were curved into itself. I'm only thinking this because you know they would latch onto the whole "Walt designed this tower!" mindset. It wasn’t exactly central. And very modern.

Or was it another unimaginative gray block?

When I heard the rumors of in-park hotel, I was actually half-excited for a nicely themed hotel somewhere in WS. If themed/placed correctly I'm sure it could have been a pleasant addition...No symmetry.
5G will eat into their revenue, one way or another.
Well thankfully it's not happening. I'll take the demo of West over a.monstrosity like that. (Still not thrilled about the demo of West).Yes it was.

Well, we dodged a bullet. You didn’t remind me!
Three or so towers, two on west and one on east. Tallest on south west, 15 floors. Squares. Lots of glass. A Tron coaster style roof over the heavily remodelled buildings. A cross between the new swolphin tower style and an Apple store.
And lots of plants.
The Four Corners of the World in WestCOT had hotels integrated into each section.Wasn't there EARLY concept art for Epcot when it had this layout that would have had more pavilions themed to different countries out behind, possibly where the international gateway is now....that possibly had a hotel themed to that country? I think it was mentioned in one of Marty Sklar's panels during Epcot's 25th
Who seriously thinks sticking a 15 story block in the middle of FW is a good idea? Can we get a @MisterPenguin or @marni1971 to do a Google earth drawing? Terrible ideas interest me for some sad reason. I'm picturing a squarish BLT and and two smaller squares (roughly) flanking it.You didn’t remind me!

You mean the "Intellectual Property Cash-grab of Today"I love that they are getting rid of the tombstones. But the rest of the park is changing too much from the original theme. They may need to change the name of the park.
