But, but, but.... These are LED. They'll NEVER burn out!Do you know how many Disney Operations and Maintenance cast members it takes to change a light bulb?

I agree. I was skeptical of the LEDs on the SSE. But, they came out looking much better than I had hoped. Not so sure I agree with the installation being so groundbreaking though. Addressable LEDs are pretty common now. It's a cool design. But, I'm not seeing something so groundbreaking to gush over so much. The Epcot renovation ain't perfect but Disney's execution of the front entrance is almost flawless. The music, the aesthetic, I love it.
also the beacons of Magic for SSE looks better than what I thought it'd look. The red lights look terrifying!

Me too! So far it looks very impressive and a great way to plus the park icon and really add to the atmosphere of World whatever-they-call-it at night.I like it!!!

I get your point, but can we wait until they fail to maintain things instead of preemptively complaining about the lack of maintainance as soon as things open? And the continuing maintenance and upkeep is….
How’d that Fountain of Nations wind up?
It’s too bad we lost the fountain of nations. If I were in charge I would have kept it and updated with the latest technology. Too bad….. Having said that it will be interesting to see what we end up with when they are finished in 3 or 4 years…And the continuing maintenance and upkeep is….

They would have if they planned to while they were doing the landscaping there after the cemetery was removed. I liked the palm trees, but those are ok too and I will bet anything that there will be a new tree just like the one next to it very soon. They designed it that way to frame a completely different iteration of the entrance plaza. With everything else changed (including the rest of the landscaping), there's no reason why we couldn't see this changed as well. Not saying it will be, just that the reasons they had for selecting these trees were likely swept away with the Leave a Legacy monument rubble.
More concept art

Thanks to the imagineer‘s and all involved you’ve had a good home run, it looks great!I don't hate this.
They have been doing concrete work and landscaping around the base of Spaceship Earth progressively. New trees were added just a week or so ago. The concept art is also clearly just a photobash of the existing space. They would have if they planned to while they were doing the landscaping there after the cemetery was removed. I'm a bit behind on the current Epcot Entrance Music. Isn't the current one mostly using already existing songs? Because I heard there was already a new score being made that was set to debut at an unknown period. The Epcot renovation ain't perfect but Disney's execution of the front entrance is almost flawless. Do you really think that they didn't plan the landscaping well before they ever started to do the remodel? The concept piece shows that they considered what they wanted there and they were not palm trees. It doesn't really matter what either of us think, it will be done however the want to and all we can do is accept, condemn or ignore. Of the three, nothing will change because of them unless there is a ground swell of opposition. I'm not expecting that to happen. They have been doing concrete work and landscaping around the base of Spaceship Earth progressively. New trees were added just a week or so ago.
