I’m pretty sure the Kids were part of “Show Biz Is” at the old Tomorrowland Stage in Florida in the 80s. It left quite an impression on my young mind lol

Did anyone else pickup the audio clip of “Remember The Magic” - the theme song from Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary?

Here is an audio clip from the WDW parade with the theme:

And here’s the audio throwback in the Magic Happens today - skip ahead to 12:40 -

For how cool this parade is trying to be, I thought the shout out to an old school Disney parade song was pretty funny.

I agree that the faux attitude is corny and dumb, but I'm sort of whatever about the whole spectacle. Maybe I'm less bothered because I'm from SF? I'm also a special events industry veteran and terribly jaded, so there's that. Maybe I need to see it person? I guess I'll have my chance when I'm there next week.

Given how thirsty Disney is for media attention and increased revenue, and the fact that the company is a global entertainment giant headquarted in the LA region with Hollywood roots, I'm surprised anyone is surprised by this stylistic turn. I mean they couldn't do Kids of The Kingdom at Disneyland forever, right?
Must say that in watching videos of the parade, they don't even seem to have all that much attitude. Maybe they do in the press photo, but in the parade itself they seem all smiles in a typically corny Disneyland way!

I mean, does this really read as a serious attempt at being edgy to anyone?

Did those to "Magic and Mayhem Merry Makers" have to take a bathroom break? LOL Where were the two extra girl dancers coming from that they had to be "escorted" back to their position?

If anyone here know or is even aware who Todrick Hall is then you already would have expected what kind of parade this will be like based on watching his YouTube music videos. This is even a tamer and family friendly version of his creations. His name is all over the soundtrack, the choreography, the movement of the characters etc.

DL could have gotten a Solo sponsorship!

Clearly most of the commenters on here haven’t actually seen the parade in person. The “attitude” faces were just for a press photo. The dancers are on the route smiling just like they would for any other Disney parade. The soundtrack is different from what we’re used to, but it really works for this parade. It’s a welcome change, in my opinion.

Disney always fails at being hip and edgy. See DCA 1.0 and this parade.
I don't know about failing to be hip and edgy if you literally see YouTube videos of people recreating the choreography of the parade, especially the opening dance. People usually cover dance choreography of music videos but parade no. I don't get the TIkTok phenomenon but I do see a bunch of videos related to the parade.

There are always a small group of crazies that do such things. Besides, five year olds will dance to anything.

Saw the parade on Saturday and i actually enjoyed it but eventhough the floats were nice the parade felt very short. It seemed like the parade lacked any in between sections. A few bundled characters and then the very limited amount of floats just seemed to pass by quickly

Which in themselves were probably reused as there was a period of time between Sound... and the “street party” parade before it to give time for a rebuild.
