great question...obviously they re releasing quite a bit on avatar so it will be interesting to see if they will...my guess is no since they didn't mention it yet, at least in the parks and resorts pavilion, perhaps for we will hear more during the presentation.... 90 min presentation surely is enough time to mention it
I'd say absolutely... this is something opening in less than a year at this point, details are needed so they can start to market it.

Rivers of Light looks teeny compared to Fantasmic. I'd be interested to see a numbers comparison on these. I guess it also depends on if they're planning to do multiple shows of RoL a night and how long it is. It seems like a big loud show happening on the water multiple times a night would be really distracting for the rest of the park.
No more or less than World of Color.

I hope when they start testing the show (possibly late 2015 or early 2016) parts will be leaked like World of color.

Example is

The videos where both shot from a hotel next to paradise pier.
Does any one know if there's a hotel next to AK that over looks the area of rivers of light?

I wish it was possible but there is just too much foliage surrounding AK and not enough vantage points. The only way would probably be aerial views from a plane.

AK is surrounded by All Stars, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Coronado Springs but in between them and the park are lots and lots of trees.

Impossible. DCA is very much boarded by hotels and streets (If I am not mistaken I think that video was taken from the grand californian). Where as Animal Kingdom is bordered by trees, woods, and security gates. Once they close animal kingdom there is no way of normal guests seeing what's going on inside. If testing is happening after hours you won't be seeing it unless a very stupid cast member gets cheeky.

Thankfully, the Disney Parks Blog usualky can't contain themselves and will surely have videos to build up hype.

There already has been some after hours testing. In a park that routinely closes before sunset, it's not difficult to hide this testing from guest view.

Rivers of Light is another subject I hope Disney gives us more information to us at the D23. Of course, along with the World of Pandora.
