I'm curious if they will use projection mapping on Everest as well as the Tree?
Everest is bigger then the tree of life, however im not sure if they will project on it, because they would have to stop the entire ride while projecting images on it like the Mickey mouses ferris wheel in Disney's California Adventure during World of Color.

I've heard Everest is going to be stopped/cleared anyway 30 minutes prior to the show to keep people from screaming during the drops.

Yh I've heard that Everest will be closed for the show. You don't want one of those sentiment moments in the show to be ruined by screams.

It's Disney, surely they could time the show sequences with team dispatches... Maybe have a scary moment on way screens.... And.... CUE! :) it's a thought anyways!

I know you are sying this in jest, but no. They couldn't. Too many factors out of anyone's control. And that would be a frightening show with a scary scene every minute!

They close ALL of Paradise Pier well before the show.

Exactly. They currently close TSMM early for the Frozen Fireworks, I don't think they'll have a problem closing E:E. Especially if anyone has ever been to DAK at night (or even during the day tbh), Everest's waits are always pretty manageable compared to TSMM.
Lines will certainly increase at night once people have a reason to stay in the park, so I suspect wait times at night will be pretty bad in the intervening year between this show opening (and the hoards rushing to see WDWs first new nighttime show in 13 years) and AVATAR opening. Then the park will be able to absorb those extra crowds better.

Yeah, but that just proves my point all the more. Right now, there's literally 5 rides + 3-4 shows at DHS. Most of those shows aren't showing at night. People are forced out into the space to see the fireworks. It all works out fine and the ride re-opens after the fireworks if it stays open past the show.

I expect something very similar to that from RoL at first. There will be no shows plus E:E closed down... everyone will basically be forced to see RoL. Then if the park stays open after the show, E:E will open back up.

I'm sure it will close for the rest of the night.
As i've already stated, every night this summer and last (and during SWW Fireworks), TSMM closes for the fireworks. The ride stays closed if the park closes with the fireworks. HOWEVER, if the park remains open after, the ride reopens as well.

I can't imagine it would be different for Everest.

Nor I. What will be interesting to see is if it reopens in between shows if there are two or more showings.
