I mean I was just wondering if a full day would be too much stress on the animals ya know? I absolutely love the idea of nighttime KS but just thinking
Who knows, might actually see an awake lion now? Rather than adult Simba just sleeping his butt off all day, as felines are wont to do.

Would the nighttime KS be stressful to the animals...? I mean they have to sleep some time

You know what's stressful to animals? Living in a zoo.

If anything, I'd think it would be better for them. Being in their external enclosures seem to be a much more natural habitat than their nighttime enclosures. Especially those on the savannah, it's really no different than the ones at AKL. They aren't being forced to do tricks or any unnatural behaviors, so why not let them chill outside?

First, PETA can be somewhat... odd in their defense of animals. Second, in a perfect world, it probably IS bad to take away animals from their natural environments. However, this is not a perfect world. Animals in the wild have to contend with not only whatever they used to in the grand Circle of Life, but also hunters, poachers, and man-made ecological screw-ups. If a zoo can grant an endangered animal a safe and relatively happy life away from all of that until we, the human species, collectively get our crap together, then I'm okay with that.

I agree, I was being sarcastic. I look for any excuse to bring up my favorite Disney marketing slogan ever.

Yes
Not gonna read through 9 pages -

How can they have a nighttime show when the park closes at 5pm most of the time?

Edit: the obvious answer is they're going to keep the park open later...but really - AK is a 1/2 day park for me. I agree with other posts that we need more sit-down dining options too if the park is going to be open later.

Eh, the way I understand it, the addition of Avatar, the night time show, new places to eat, late night editions of attractions such as Kilimanjaro Safaris, new entertainment, and of course I guess the new atmosphere of being open at night will keep folks ( supposedly) there...

IF they DO get the rumored third attraction for Avatar greenlit, I'd imagine this will be quite the busy park for a bit of time...

Who knows what all they'll do to keep us there...the listed above are at least pretty solid rumors and facts...from what I've read and what I've seen on here...
