That's roughly $8.50...I believe the alternate name for that show is "A little bit of Florida". Poncho kiosks are located at several key locations and cost ¥1000 per poncho.

Of course grand opening. It's just too symbolic for Disney to pass up (Earth Day and AK's 18th birthday and all that).Maybe grand opening, but guests are pretty likely to see the show within two months time. Unless it starts raining a lot.
oh that's good news! ...thanks for the information. We should be just ok then for our trip...We do not have a hard and fast "spring break". Virtually every school can have it on a different week between between the end of March and beginning of April.
The two most common weeks tend to be the week before and after Easter so you should be safe.
I'm admittedly a latecomer to this thread, but how can we judge when it's still this early in the construction process? The scaffolding in Pandora had to go up before the rockwork was applied, but no one said how horrible that looks. Also, do we KNOW that they might NOT be at least partially retractable, and are just in the "up" position for work/installation? And to be honest, the "natural" look of the "river" was lost as soon as they decided to build theatrical seating around the banks. It's clear that Disney is more interested in turning this into a "show" area than to maintain "organic" beauty. A couple of months down the road, after construction is done and the area is "open" maybe I'll consider them to be eyesores. But right now, it's just a construction site...
Hey, if it's good enough for Tokyo...

Yes, that's actually a CM standing on the landing tossing a bucket of water into the audience
They also chase people in the "dry" area with hoses...

And even the characters get in on the fun

Crazier things have happened...
Certainly not terrible. It's not the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre.I'm having trouble picturing what all of this will look like when construction is complete. Even though I'm so very excited for the show, I'm afraid the seating will ruin the atmosphere. I need to know if it's going to look terrible or not.

Bridge is staying - barges have already been moving around. Is it likely that barges will be set up in the lake prior to the show like Illuminations? Also wondering if the bridge is tall enough for the barges? or if they plan to replace the bridge?
Photo update as of Tuesday, January 26. A closer view of the main show building. A temporary white tent has appeared in front of the building. Faux vegetation is being added to the rock wall / shoreline at the base of the seating area.

Several concrete columns have appeared in the "mezzanine" area behind the Rivers of Light seating area, near the Finding Nemo theatre. Since the walkway in front of the Finding Nemo theatre is higher than the Rivers of Light seating area, there appears to be a form being set up for a ramp to be poured, connecting the two levels.

They do... Hmmm maybe the first 10 rows or whatever is your themed FP or dinner package area and that is your standby seating? Who knows I'm excited for this show though. What's being installed in that first picture? Those metal poles all in a row look suspiciously like bleacher supports...

Why go to all the trouble to make good looking seating, only to 'top it off' with metal bleachers shining in the sun (meaning those top rows.) Doesn't sound like the imagineers we know. Maybe they'll be painted.Bleachers. You can see them on the left side of the first photo.
I have faith that it's going to look amazing. Besides, it can't possibly look worse than the Theater in the Wild, so that's always a win. I swear that building is the ugliest structure in all of WDW...and to think it replaced something so awesome.I need to know if it's going to look terrible or not.
