Bleachers. You can see them on the left side of the first photo.

Why go to all the trouble to make good looking seating, only to 'top it off' with metal bleachers shining in the sun (meaning those top rows.) Doesn't sound like the imagineers we know. Maybe they'll be painted.

It does seem strange that they went to the effort of putting nice stone benches for the lower rows, only to add metal benches at the back. Even if they made them brown benches it would look better.

I like it. It reminds me of those stairs on the waterfront of the Ganges River...

I sure hope so, everything else is being themed so well, I can even deal with the bluish light/speaker poles on the Dinoland side, but if these turn out to be bright aluminum bleachers I guess I'll cry.

I'm sure they'd be painted at minimum to help blend (the support poles are already brown), but it is sort of odd that they went through the effort of doing stone covered seating for the lower level just to do aluminum bleachers on the upper portion. I bet the Dinoland side gets similar treatment.

We'll know for sure within a couple weeks. But I'm getting a bit apprehensive about appearances now...

I wonder if it could be that WDW is hoping to get this open fairly soon (Early March? Wouldn't be surprised if they want it open for Spring Break crowds) and they decided to cut the rest of the themed, stone benches for bleachers to help quicken the pace.

Early March seems a little soon, and honestly I'd rather them do it right than rush to get it open.

I'd rather they do it right as well, but i'm just thinking of a reason for a switch from nice, themed seating to bleachers.

Could be they were finding guest sight issues? Or all along they planned on installing bleachers.. Whatever the reason hopefully they paint them.

Long shot... I know, but maybe the bleachers are some how retractable so at night, they can be raised for maximum seating, but during the day, they can be down (and possibly somehow covered) to maintain the view of the "river"?

I bet they tarp those off. I doubt they can tarp all the way to the water line, but I bet they take the flatter bleacher section and tarp them.

I never realized aluminum bleachers were a part of the plan. I'll hold off judgement until it's finished but if boring, aluminum bleachers are a part of the design in the end- ewwwww.....

They should have went with the WoC viewing area design. But I'm guessing space and mostly budget was a factor.

i think everything is looking really nice. I don't necessarily mind the color of the lighting poles/posts, but I would hope they get some kind of aging/peeling paint look so they don't look brand new.
