Mostly I was showing @CaptainAmerica what people are referring to about the lanterns, and also how the show might look with the lanterns, if that is what Disney does. I personally don't think that the absence of lanterns means that they didn't deliver. On the contrary I think that this show is very similar to the concept art. (Thus I don't entirely understand the disconnect of expectations not being met).

Well, confident enough to run two shows a night seems to be a pretty good sign... no?
If lanterns are a part of pre-show: Would it be too far of a disconnect to see the send off finale be a reprise of the lanterns; only this time as they float off the water and fade into the sky above? (via drones) Cause that would be kinda cool, I think.

Ok, (this is not solely directed at you @Magicart87 ) I want to put to rest the concept of drones on the discovery River. There is not enough clearance from any possible launch point in regards to guests areas, unless you want to block the main path into Dinoland, Serka Zong, or eliminate all of Foame Trees seating, none of which are feasible. Let alone the drone area is very, very close to guest walkways. It is a great pipe dream, but without major changes, it is not happening.

At 491 pages in it's to be expected, as is apparently snarky comments that contribute little to the conversation.
There's that island used for projections on the water/dino side of the river. Surely they could fit them on that or build another island?
Seeing as how you changed your reply from "Now who's being snarky?" to "Your turn." I'm gonna have to say you. Tone is a difficult thing to read in type. To me your original "This. Again!" sounded pretty cold. I'm not going to get into it with you cause that would definitely be a waste. Just odd that you felt compelled to reply even after LIKE'ng Magic Feathers post. I read it as an ulterior motive. My bad, I guess.
Drone use would be nice! But I guess those in the know have already declared it impossible, for now.

Getting away from the Hatfields and McCoys battle brewing...
Having seen the 18 minute version in November and the "tightened" 15-minute version on 2/10. I'm wondering if the 18 minute version might make a return this weekend. They were able to send out surveys after the shorter version. This would give them the chance to play the longer version with a new round of surveys next week.
Once they compile all the feedback, they can land on which version will remain.
Just a thought.

They have been reversing multiple shows per night for months, so they are ready. It is down to ops as to how many shows there are.

Seems too tight a timeline between softs and grand opening to try out the 18 minute version on the masses. Plus I feel like part of why it got trimmed was that the lanterns helped liven up the Parade of the Animal Spirits with extra color and movement or whatever and without them it dragged or something.
