Taking a large group to Walt Disney World February 25 and 26. Slip the group and was able to get dining and the River of Light Show booked. Some going Saturday and the rest on Sunday. Wondering if more shows will be added in February.

I would think it unlikely that there will be scheduling changes now in February, but you never know.

Yes
So is the FP+ section the same as the dining package? Is it worth it to use a FP?

I believe if you want to book the dining package, you have to go through dinner reservations. I booked a fastpass only because its a brand new show and I don't want to worry about getting to the sitting area early. Not sure how seating exactly works but I figured it would be best.

Question....
So we have a tripped planed in 3 weeks to WDW. We weren't planning on this show being ready by then so trying to make alterations to plans now to be at AK at night now. Can everyone see this show or is it 1st come 1st serve type deal? You need a FP thing? I'm confused.

FP+ is available. I'm not sure how this works entirely, but I'm guessing that it's like other shows with FP+.

It will be new with 4 showings per week when demand would call for 21 per week. Either get a FP or a dining package if you want to see this.

It looks like half of the seating is reserved for FP. The area in Asia is exclusively FP, while the seating closer to Dinoland (in front of the Nemo theater) is general seating plus dining packages. That's subject to change, though, as I believe there are FP touch points installed for both seating areas.

ETA: I could also be completely wrong on this!

As far as I know, the touch points for FP were only on the Asia side. Although it is possible that has changed.

Asia is exclusively FP+, and Dinoland is standby and dining package.

I doubt we will ever hear, but I wonder what the numbers are for each. I'd guess FP is about 2500. I wonder how many dining packages they can sell. Is 1250 reasonable and then 1250 standby?

It's clear that you really need to pre-reserve. I'm also curious to see if the 2nd (and third) showings are bookable as was the plan last year.

I thought I saw touch points that were covered up on the Dinoland side when I was there yesterday.

Thanks for confirming!

I'm trying to book fastpass for the weekend of Feb 25-26th but it shows no more left, is it possible they are gone already? or the system may be overloaded?

FP opened about 5 hours ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they are gone. Dining package? Best to grab now and cancel later if you score a FP. This surprisingly only has a 1-day cancellation policy. Wishes Dessert Party was 5!
