When they ran the night safari back in 1999 they used truck mounted spot lights. There were two crew members on each truck, one driving, one directing the spotlights. Will be interesting to see how it is done this time.
they will use CMs with animal suits this time.. all due of "costs" ;)

They're lighting the ride path so it looks like twilight (the time of day, not the awful vampire franchise). Joe Rohde showed a picture of it when he talked to cast members. The effect looked great in the photo he showed.

There are several barges in the waters of Discovery River, as well as new platforms mounted on the riverbanks (that looked like they could possibly be projectors) The platforms are covered in Camo and not easy to spot for the average guest, the barges were fairly substantial and obvious...

Happen to get any pictures ?

Someone had mentioned earlier that the Africa expansion is going to be larger than just the FOTLK theater. I know that means probably just some small meaningless additions (like an additional merch or quick serve location or perhaps DVC kiosk) but is there any possibility of a small scale attraction going there? Even just a new animal enclosure (there was a rumor for a new lion one)?

I'm just kind of hoping that this night time entertainment opens sooner rather than later, but that the powers that be realize that they need something more to do in the park to keep most people there for a full day.

It is going to be larger than the theater, but like you said just small meaningless additions, there is not enough room for any kind of attraction to be placed there.

I'm not sure how much more than the theater is going to be available for guests. In that area behind FOLK was also a major hub for character green rooms/break rooms as well as administrative offices for the park that needed to be relocated.

That entire park is made up of small, meaningless additions that manage to be pretty great in the aggregate.
I look forward to seeing if they can do something neat with the extra space, especially if it's a new animal exhibit or two.

TipTop probably isn't posting the pictures because he or she is not at liberty too. Just because someone knows something doesn't mean they can share all their info. Hop over to the thread about "Festival of Fantasy" and you'll see there are numerous folks with access to the parade who share delightful tidbits, but don't post pictures.

Well, we'll have to wait until it's ready to see if it's right. Until then, it strikes me as a "My girlfriend/ boyfriend goes to another high school, you don't know her."
