New nighttime show 'Rivers of Light' confirmed to be coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

How likely is it that someone staying at Coronado Springs or Animal Kingdom Lodge could hear some of the soundtrack to this if they were up at just the right time in the middle of the night over the next few weeks? I feel like when we stayed at Coronado, we could just barely hear the soundtrack to Fantasmic and it would seem that the ROL venue is just about the same distance away. I mean, with the show opening in (allegedly) about two months, I would think technical rehearsals would need to begin soon. But it looks like they went for many more smaller speakers (as opposed to fewer larger speakers as they use with Fantasmic) so maybe even the full show volume will be almost inaudible from more than a few hundred yards away...

It's intriguing to me that this show may open with so much mystery, especially when almost all of the Disneyland shows get leaked online during their technical rehearsals (I remember seeing videos of World of Color from the balcony of the Grand Californian and videos of Disneyland Forever from just outside the park days/weeks before those shows opened).

I think it's safe to assume any fountains that this show will have will be led like the WoC fountains? Not like the old dull colored fountains in Illuminations and Fantasmic lol.

I was looking up some water and light shows around the world, that do not have that many fountains, but they do use lasers with some pretty cool effects :) Would be cool if RoL is like this!

I'm interested to see if they can make a water show at the level of Illuminations and Wishes. So far every water show I've seen has been really nice but just can't beat a fireworks show. It needs to have a great musical score as well as heart and emotion for me to want to see it multiple times.

Is RoL going to be a "water and light show" only? I thought I read something about auditions for performers (like Fantasmic) not long ago? Am i completely wrong about this?

The first version of World of Color that debuted came pretty close (unfortunately subsequent versions have only gone downhill). I do think that initial version could have been even better if Iger and the higher ups hadn't stepped in and altered it for greater "synergy."

I keep waiting for Disney to release a video showing the score being recorded. They've done that previously for these large scale productions and it's always been a good way of telling what the "feel" of the show will be (will it be majestic, classical, pop/modern? Is it an original score? A rework of existing soundtracks? etc.).

Water, lights, fire, and performers I think. Disney has been so vague in regards to those 4 things. Originally they did not meantion fountains but fountains were shown in the last concept art.

Photo update as of Thursday, Feb. 4. The construction fence across from the entrance to the Finding Nemo Theatre has been moved back slightly so show a portion of the entrance plaza to the Rivers of Light seating area on this side of the lake. The brown wooden boxes on either side probably hide a ground connection for a future light pole.

Several light globes have been installed on top of various show buildings, and on poles behind the seating areas. See yellow circles in the below photo, and close-ups in following photos.

In the below side view photo of the seating area, the gray electrical boxes at this end will be hidden by vegetation.
