Rumor New Monorails Coming Soon?

Nobody else is reporting this. It's possible this is photoshop.
Or an old image?
Looks 100% real to me, and probably recent since it hasn’t been too long since those windows were removable.

Also it’s really not that big of a deal. It’s pretty hot out and if a train is without power it’s pretty reasonable to take those windows out. The guests were likely instructed that they could by the pilot.

I don't buy the windows just falling off. So my guess is if there was an incident the monorail was likely stuck and guests inside popped out the windows for air flow.

It’s sometimes funny to see how quickly and efficiently misinformation spreads. I’m seeing multiple sources spreading the “windows fell off” story along with this photo. It’s clearly not like this train was driving along and suddenly the windows fell off, but everyone seems to be eating up that narrative. It’s a reminder of how in social media and even in news media story is first, truth second.

I will always be among the first to criticize the condition of the Disney monorails, but I’ll also be among the first to say so when the criticism is unwarranted. In this case I think as it’s being presented it’s unwarranted. This is a story of a train breaking down and needing to be towed nothing more.

Yep, I tried my best to reply to as many of these sites as possible saying their stories were incorrect.

He’s posted a big mea culpa on FB. Buried in the comments section, of course.

On Tuesday 5th June at lunchtime , I was in monorail Peach train as it left the TTC on the express beam. Just outside the station. The drive power failed and we were left stranded for 10 mins until it was cyclcled back on and we reversed back to station. Moved onto resort monorail with any attraction FP. 10 Mins on inconvenience saved a 90 min queue for mine train.

Engineering team came out and inspected the power pick ups with very slow motion out of station.

I’d be more forgiving of this #clickbait if they didn’t do all of the above on a regular basis. They consistently steal /lie about sources, they blow stuff out of proportion and it’s really getting old. Sad thing is the people who eat it up. I was following for entertainment purposes but cut that because I don’t wanna give the site the appearance of support.
