If you are truly kidding, then you have my apologies. But your posting style coupled with your recent join date bring to mind a recently banned member.

As for Dan, he's been here long enough to know what's up. I'm not sure why he would start such a hurtful poll, but obviously he has a few problems with people which he has chosen to address publicly rather than on a one-on-one basis.

It was just a joke. It does seem like Dan was being attacked for having his opinion. I can kind of understand how he feels look what happened after my post. Anyway, I was just kidding.

Well, when I first read the poll, I voted without reading Dan's post. I thought it was a joke so I voted "I Agree"...

After reading his post, it does appear the poll was meant to cause some strife.

I just want to state openly that I'm not "piling on" Dan. I've talked to him enough to think he's a right chap. Anything I say here is based on the context of this thread and isn't personal. Anybody can have a bad day or feel left out at times.

Assuming Dan has a problem with Premium Members? That's not an assumption. He said it himself.

And yes, this is a hurtful poll. I don't care for the insinuation that I feel I am better than anybody else. I also feel that, as Tramp already stated, threads like this tend to polarize the community. If it prevents somebody from joining, that's a loss to Steve. I don't want to see that happen.

This thread has definatly put people on the defensive. Let's pretend that the thread wasn't meant to put PM's down. On the flip side it is a valid question, although I agree that it doesn't really contribute to anything in the community. We have all had a run in or two with someone who feels that they are a superior force. Luckily, these people are often behaving that way because they have extensive knowledge about a particular subject and we tend to take them wrong. Not being a PM, I don't agree that there is a definative line where PM's feel above anyone. Often times the individual is the problem, and again, I don't think anyone makes that a habit. Sometimes when things are addressed in the posts instead of by e-mail or a variation of, it tends to alienate people whether they be members or not. That of course is for another topic.

The fact that some members, as in the real world, may appear to be arrogant and/or condescending is inconsequential to the forum. Hey, that's life folks, get use to it! What IS consequential is tying it to the 5 bucks that some of us dish out month after month in support of the forum and to ensure it's survival. It's one thing to think someone is arrogant, but, it's a giant leap to conclude that contributing to the forum is what makes him/her that way and then extrapolating that to include ALL PML'ers in a poll you title, "The PMLers View themselves as above the rest of the forum members..." :wave:
