Good question. Depends on how she's depicted: mournful or murderous. The staging of the figure and the prop she carries (no longer an axe?) makes me think they're taking the figure in a new direction. I remain hopeful.

If the figure ends up like this sipper, then it looks like it'll be a good change harkening back to the beating-heart bride of old. Maybe they'll even figure out a way to get the Hatbox Ghost into the attic where he belongs.
For now it's just DL. But yeah, here's hoping they can axe Constance for MK too!

If they do that, moving the Hatbox Ghost to the attic is an even more important change than it is at Disneyland. His location prior to Madame Leota is moronic.

If we go by the Hatbox Ghost… MK should see a bride upgrade in … 8-10 years? Unfortunately the bride will be placed in a new spot, just outside the attraction in the queue graveyard.

I definitely prefer the old bride to Constance visually so that would be a huge upgrade. Never really gave it much thought but I prefer the old character/ story as well. It’s much easier for me to buy into a perpetually somber Bride ghost in the after life than this maniacal she- murderer that beheads men with an ax.

Good news but also bracing for the worst when HM reopens in less than a couple weeks. They never GIVE without TAKING AWAY. Between this news and the bride changes I fear the hanging skeleton is toast. I’ll be livid if the dialogue was altered or the rafters in the stretching room have been covered up with a screen like in HMH. Hopefully the hitchhiking ghosts haven’t been butchered.

Although true, I have a feeling this gift is more for the lack of regular HM.
I could see how the new bride is the “gift” for the removal of the hanging host. Just have to wait and see.

So I take it as Mansion will close to convert to HMH the day after Halloween
How long does it usually take to convert to HMH?

That crossed my mind as well but I think it’s more than that considering we’d still have 7 months before it would close during its usual time in August. But it’s possible especially if you also consider they may want Classic HM up as long as possible for the 70th. lt could be a little of all these things or maybe they have finally come around on the idea of NBC just going up for Christmas? But as I follow the money trail that doesn’t really make sense as HMH brings a lot of revenue. Am I sniffing Christmas party ticketed events coming to Disneyland? Paywall some new Christmas fireworks and entertainment while also moving the NBC hype to the Christmas season.
