It won't seem like Halloween at the Mansion without all the pumpkins, candles, and ghoulish delights. Oh well.
I guess a case could be made for leaving some of the pumpkins in place but I'd rather the Mansion be the Mansion during Halloween. It won't seem like Halloween at the Mansion without all the pumpkins, candles, and ghoulish delights. Oh well.
The Halloween version was peak Halloween for me. It seems weird to have the Haunted Mansion not celebrate the spookiest holiday. It was a tradition that we would start our Halloween season of events with HM in September. We'll make a new tradition, but it's sad to see old ones die away after decades.I guess a case could be made for leaving some of the pumpkins in place but I'd rather the Mansion be the Mansion during Halloween.

It's just not Halloween without the Santa hats, gingerbread, and carols! It won't seem like Halloween at the Mansion without all the pumpkins, candles, and ghoulish delights. Oh well.
I disagree. Haunted Mansion classic is a great vintage attraction, but HMH hits all the highs of a Halloween celebration to me.It’s a Christmas ride frankly. Has no business being up for Halloween. Haunted Mansion is a perfect ride for Halloween; as is.
Costumes, treats, and ghastly singing taunting riders....yeah, not Halloween-y at all. Not to mention those jack-o-lanterns, skulls, coloured lights, vampires, dolls, giant snakes, man-eating plants, tarot cards, trick-or-treaters, flickering candles, a giant animatronic skeleton welcoming us to a graveyard. It's just not Halloween without the Santa hats, gingerbread, and carols!
Just kidding! It was incompetence.
Same here. Planning a late August trip and HMH is one of my favorite rides. This has to be a world record for answering of prayers. From lost tradition to a sigh of relief in just a few short moments.

In our celebratory hubris Professortango1 was mocked and thus he gained cosmic sympathy!Lol hey what about all our prayers?
Did you make an appropriate sacrifice? Was your altar pointing due South?Lol hey what about all our prayers?
This is quite interesting. Seems like many got their wish of HMH’s run being shortened at least for this year
They should have just draped black cloth over it. Keep everybody guessing.Embarrassing that it ever went up.
Replace all props that are regular-HM on one side and Halloweentown on the other. 'Tis nothing, then, to just spin them around. They should have just draped black cloth over it. Keep everybody guessing.
The one thing reassuring me from the worst is that IF they were doing some sort of major renovation to the regular ride, there would be a longer closure period between HMH and the return of the regular Mansion.Bracing for the worst when HM reopens in less than a couple weeks. They never GIVE without TAKING AWAY. Between this news and the bride changes I fear the hanging skeleton is toast. I’ll be livid if the dialogue was altered or the rafters in the stretching room have been covered up with a screen like in HMH. Hopefully the hitchhiking ghosts haven’t been butchered.

I suppose it's possible they did the major bones of a big change during the extended closure this year, but if that was the case, I feel like we would have heard more about what was happening. So far as I remember, we got a bit of speculation here and there, but seemingly no real sources and no one corroborating each other's stories about what would be coming.
