Right more ghostly but perhaps the least aesthetically pleasing.

Also, the giraffe neck and long oval face is throwing me off.

The one thing all the original brides (pre-Constance) had going for them was the inherent creepiness of minimally animated animatronics. Even more so once you cut the Smurf face bride from the list. When the face is a black void with two glowing lights for eyes, and the figure just moves an inch this way, and then an inch that way - that's uncanny in a good way!

Now there's a real figure there (the dress, the veil on top of the head, candles) but the face, flames, and ghostly light are projections in a pepper's ghost reflection.

Projections make a lot of effects possible, but there's no tie to antique automatons and that unnerving 'undead puppet' feeling.

If you have to go with projections, this new bride is a LOT better than the previous Constance. I think she looks great.
It does feel a bit too much like a "stand riiiight here for this effect to work" type of thing, if I'm picking nits. Like she's a tableau in Sleeping Beauty's Castle where the pepper's ghost layers have to line up just right.

Obviously, this is just based on the video. In person it might mesh with the rest of the room just fine.

No
I'm not aware of any cemetery crypts in the hitchhiking ghost or little leota scenes unless you are implying they will add one.

I'd bet money it will be here:

You know....in a crypt....in a cemetery....
The whole graveyard is pretty much a cemetery with crypts.

There's potential here (though it is tucked away a bit):

As well as these two spots:

But my money is on my original location since it already is using some sort of projected image.

Doesn't the entire end of the ride take place you know... in a crypt? You exit it when you leave the ramp to... outside?
But your location seems just as a good a spot as any.

Ummm is this an improvement? She might be the worst designed one yet…

Ok maybe a smidge better than Constance or the Chuckie Doll but I’d kill for one of the first 3.

I've been riding the HM my entire life. I've never seen the 1970s Skeletor version. My bride was always the mid70s-1989 one with the popup heads screaming. I hated the attic portion when I was a kid.

Me neither. The 70-89 is “my bride” as well or at least the one that made he most impression on me. Did it really go away in 89? I feel like it made it to the early- mid 90s.

Same here. I would try and remember which side had the more pop-up ghosts and try and sit opposite. Same with Snow White and the Witch's appearances. But I also kept going back. I wish we could get a scary attic again. It was a great bit of tension between the ballroom and the graveyard.

A lot of people get this one wrong as well. We got the smurfette bride in Sept. 1995 along with audio of the I do pop-ups. This is when they added the phantom piano player as well.

Some might be mixing up the original pop-ups with the "I Do" pop-ups (which just added the bow ties and a bit of a shirt & tux to the heads along with the sound, and the piano).
