I'm not sure what all these have to do with where the bus loop is.

2, 3, and 4 have nothing to do with how close/far the bus loop is from the gate - only the traffic patterns between the loop and the roads
5 could be addressed depending on the layout design as well

I still want to see the final product before being grumpy or not... but the first impressions for me so far are not great

2, 3, and 4 all tie into the reason for this change in the entrance area. The entire drop off area is becoming less congested and overall more safe for pedestrians and vehicles at the same time.

but I've had to hoof it out to those temporary bus stops in that location in the past.. and I found it miserable.

We all know why the area is changing... but nothing you said addresses anything of relevance... which was “where the bus loop is.” Verse other possible designs.

At least have the table ante before you step up
I wonder if the choice was made to facilitate their long term plan for a parking structure.

We like to stay at the Yatch Club because of its convenient to Epcot. With the new gondola coming is Disney going to cut the price for staying at Yatch Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk? Why should you pay more since the conscience is gone 😡
Actually I'd say the prices could increase since they are within walking distance of the skyliner.

Even though there's currently the friendship boats the skyliner is new and more attractive in marketing materials.

The Skyliner is moving in plus constraint #1 means that the bus loop had to move from it's old place. The next question then is where the bus loop can go given that it is moving.
a. I don't think they can fit it in where the parking tram space is.
b. I'd guess that the next decision was to put the medical parking in the nearest prime spot where it is now.
c. I think they feel like the "3 bus loop" design is successful, so they have two options - put it to the north or south of medical parking. Note that in either case, I think you end up with the same "far" distance. I do think that this "3 bus loop" design satisfies constraint #2 (don't want people crossing in front of buses)
d. Putting it to the north of medical parking allows satisfaction of constraint #2, given constraint #4.

But it all seems a bit much to be discussing in the Gondola Thread vs the DHS Parking lot remodel and expansion thread, which is the main thread where the new bus loops are being discussed.

Apologies for extending the digression, but maybe it will help encourage the bus loop discussion move to the appropriate thread?

Interesting that there are 3 vents on the rear end of the cabin, but only 2 on the front. Maybe that's to draw up air from the bottom vents. I suppose the ends will be reversed on the lines that move clockwise (if any).

On the 2nd photo, I think I see the tip of the side vent extended.
There is also ventilation at the floor level

Somewhere in this thread someone was trying to calculate speed. Was that established or do you still want to know the official speed?

I want to know how fast the car will move in normal operation for 7/7/19 please
They are not expected to be available to the public till around late summer (September) We are starting testing and training in April. But to answer your question the official top speed can be 11.5 mph however normal operating speed is expected to be 11 mph. In station loading will be 1 foot p/minute. And as I said a long time ago they WILL shut down if lightning gets too close same as watercraft. And busses will be dispatched to fill the void during shutdowns
