Doppelmayr's own specs and actual builds around the world run this same system at a faster speed. Though, WDW has chosen to keep it at ~11 mph.

Could very well be but Disney's OG is what will dictate training and actual speed. Not unlike the monorail, it can go over 60 mph but is governed at 40 top speed.

They are not expected to be available to the public till around late summer (September) We are starting testing and training in April. But to answer your question the official top speed can be 11.5 mph however normal operating speed is expected to be 11 mph. In station loading will be 1 foot p/minute. And as I said a long time ago they WILL shut down if lightning gets too close same as watercraft. And busses will be dispatched to fill the void during shutdowns

Forgive me if this has been speculated as I haven't read through all 860+ pages but with Galaxy's Edge opening on 8/29/19 do we think the Skyliner will be open by then? Seems reasonable if many thought September originally.
