Hopefully, Disney will have the courtesy to mark a large scenic view location to the one spot in the entire park where this view exists. I would hate to miss out on it by enjoying the rest of the stuff in the parks. Maybe they could create an up-charge situation by placing those pay telescopes like you see on mountains and scenic areas with a chart that tells everyone what angle to turn it to bring stuff like this along with the Soarin Building, The Swan and Dolphin, the dumpster along side the food service at American Adventure. (if they don't have one there they can put one there) and the tree that is partially blocking the "framed" view of SSE from across the lagoon and, of course, the new Guardian Building. There is a good chance that they will find an overflowing trash can to focus on as well.

And leave us not forget those ugly, dirty, Monorail Trains and track that every few minutes is blocking the beauty that is FutureWorld but is also visible from World Showcase. Ugg, what were they thinking.

The only reason they are dirty is because of maintenance, specifically funding.

The same company will be performing the maintenance on the gondolas as well. Give them time, they’ll be dingy and smell as well.

“Ugh! The SkyLiner has that aweful smell... what is it?!?!”

“B.O.”

That same company maintains a fleet of over 400 buses and those aren’t dirty and they don’t smell.

It’s all about budgets and priorities.

Since there will be very little (if any) fabric/upholstery in the cabins and there will be very good ventilation, odors won't be as likely to be trapped.

Yes, Disney knows how to maintain vehicles properly. As you mentioned, it’s budget priorities.

Let’s not kid ourselves regarding how these will look in 30 years.

I just don’t think we can speculate at this point how the gondolas will look in 30 years.

There are 20 year old vehicles that look like crap (buzz lightyear) and 20 year old vehicles that look as good as they did 20 years ago. It really all depends on where priorities fall.

At some point Disney just decided to neglect the monorails. Hopefully that doesnt happen here.

They were kind of part of the original design of Futureworld. Kind of like how you can see most of Futureworld Earth from World Showcase too.

What you can’t see - and what is the issue being discussed - are monorail beams or trains above the French rooftops or between France and Morocco. This is an ongoing concern within the park.

When will Disney crank up the prices on Pop and AoA??? AKL is a deluxe resort and their only transportation is the bus. It will be interesting to see if there is a bump in prices in late fall when we are closer to SW:GE opening up.

On his podcast @lentesta unfortunately has gone down the “clues of expansion” nonsense rabbit hole. The geometry today has nothing to do with any future lines that would be physically separate and require significant work to transform the turning station. The lines at Caribbean Beach are not parallel.

Yeah, I just listened to that segment. They are saying that location of the Boardwalk turn doesn't makes sense unless they were planning to use it as part of an expansion, but as you say it's not like they can just run another cable out of the turn station towards Coronado.
