Doing some math here...
4 rows x 26 = 104
2 rows x 23 = 46
8 rows x 20 = 160
Total would be 310.

This may have been covered here already, but how do they get the gondolas onto the cable fro the storage area? Do they slide over to the cable or is there some crane/lift they use?

Thanks.

There are rails they hang on in the station/storage area and they are moved along those til they meet the cable where the grip is closed and away they go

It's a little more complex than that. They go from a regular rail to a rail with a chain conveyor above that advances them along. Then they transition to the terminal tires. One of the tires has a clutch that spaces the cabins. Then more tires accelerate them. Then the cable!
Probably some more, as the sticker on the gondola at DHS is labeled 322.

Unless they're labeled non-linearly.
Yup, that is the question. Whether there are 100- 200- and 300-series for the different lines. The Epcot line is going to have way more cabins than the other two.

How do you figure? I would think that they would fill up DHS' line as well, especially with SW GE opening.

I've also been thinking these will run in normal rain storms. I'm sure TDO won't want to scramble Buses to the resorts for daily afternoon storms.

The Epcot line is more twice as long as the next longest to Hollywood Studios. 8,100 feet vs. 3,850' (THS) and 3,100' (TPD). Plus the Epcot line has two extra stations where lots of cabins will be bunched up. It will probably have around three times the number of cabins as Pop/AoA, even if the overall capacity of all three lines is the same.

@Lift Blog Are some of those maintenance gondolas Disney's? Will they use them in the future for servicing the lines or do they belong to the installer or Doppelmayr?
