Seriously. I hate round avatars (in general, not just here) as much as I hate the tombstones. It doesn't even fit nicely with the UI on here, literally a random circle when everything is squared off. The only actual negative with this recent forum upgrade.

Everyone always talks about how these things hurt and kill their occupants, no one thinks about the poor souls just innocently by standing...

I rode the new American Flyer today. It stopped once while I was on and yes, it rolls back a bit before coming to a stop. All long and fast lifts do this. At peak load, there are 540 people on the line and you would not want that kind of weight spread over two miles to stop immediately. I did not notice any unusual bouncing or areas roped off under the lift.

The more significant bouncing was closer to the top. The roped off area was where it was going through the trees (probably this area) and it was only roped off on the uphill side. One time after I had just got off it was stopped and the brakes were emitting a loud screech and then there was a loud bang. Maybe they were having issues with the brakes that day or something (Jan 19).
