Party pooperWe have actually seen this for months. Probably the same test car we have seen in the other stations.
...but I’m pretty sure you are correct

Well the one in this picture is yellow; the one that was seen at Hollywood Studios was redWe have actually seen this for months. Probably the same test car we have seen in the other stations.
I’m probably alone in this, but I honestly am excited about the Riviera.Photo update as of Thursday, January 3, 2019. Update on the gondola station at the Riviera resort, under construction.

Has there been any indication yet on how they are going to handle ECVs at the Riviera station? It's been discussed that there will be separate boarding areas at all other stops for ECVs where the cabins are still. However, at the Riviera station, there does not appear to have this option. Are they going to trust that the operator can board a slowly moving car?

This is a good question. In theory they should be able to board a moving car. I can't see them stopping the line each time they need to load an ECV.
I have a thought on how:
What if the CM at Hollywood Studios or International Gateway's second line asked if they were going to Riveria. If so, they would either put a special placard in the window of the cabin or someother means to let the CM at Riveria know to slow the line to the point of stop, if needed (because they are backing up.)
For those loading at Riveria, it is certainly conceivable that the cabins are moving slow enough for scooters to load without need of stopping, however could be prepared just in case. Then the CM could put a different placard in the window to notify the CM at IG or HS to send the cabin to the second line so it can stop so the scooter could back out.
With that said, there should not be many scooters boarding or unloading at Riviera, most will be going to or from IG or HS and will use the second/stopping line.
I agree that unload won't be as big of an issue.I don't think unloading will be as much of a problem as loading. There may be enough time for a CM to see that the car has ECV and route it to the extra loop. This still doesn't address the loading at Riviera.
Why do you assume there won't be many scooters at Riviera?

Has anyone confirmed (like @marni1971) that the other boarding area is for ECV's or is this just an assumption. I have seen several videos of people loading and unloading wheelchairs and scooters with ease and not needing a separate loading area.
I expect the computers running the system will be able to track the cabin and slow it down or reroute it automatically, or at the very least alert the station operator that it is approaching. What if the CM at Hollywood Studios or International Gateway's second line asked if they were going to Riveria. I don't recall a post definitively stating that. It does seem logical. But apparently this exact station configuration has not been seen before. I think I read about a system where loading was split evenly between 2 areas, but they were on an upper and a lower level.Has anyone confirmed (like @marni1971) that the other boarding area is for ECV's or is this just an assumption. Maybe they will be dual load and unload stations. Riviera would not have as many getting on and off and a single load unload is all that is needed.
From Pop get on gondola and get off at CBR hub. Then from CBR hub either board the DHS line or the EPCOT line. For both parks you will have to transfer once at CBR hub. For EPCOT line you will pass through the Riviera station but do not have to get off.I don't want to go through 743 pages if has this already been answered. Staying at Pop what is the process to get to Studios and then the process to EPCOT?
And for a slight upcharge you can reserve a Minnie cabin with special wrap and seating for 10....From Pop get on gondola and get off at CBR hub.
