In the write up it notes, they could see 6 people sitting comfortably in these gondolas.
Earlier in these discussions I thought it was mentioned the gondolas would transport
8 to 10 guests. I guess comfort is out the window. (along with a guest or two) :D

Based on the type of guest that would normally be seen at a ski resort, 8-10 people sounds about right. based on the sort of guest typically seen at Disneyworld, 6-8 seems more likely ;-)

Pure conjecture on my part - Disney thinks 8 people will fit into each gondola, 4x4 on the benches. Reality - This is, at most, a 6 person gondola, or 2 scooters/wheelchairs, maybe 3 if you're lucky.

I think reality is it will be 1 family per Gondola, so probably 4-5 people. If my family was there with the grandparents, then we'd have 7 in the Gondola, but that's the only situations in which I think they will be pushing to capacity of 8-10. I would imagine smaller parties would be asked to join up if they are next to each other in line, but to the tune of 4-6 people per Gondola.

This only renews my excitement for this project!!! I realized that I have said it before, and have tried not to say much about the 675 pages of what I hope are mostly tongue in cheek jokes about the gondolas of death, lightening, alligators, no ac, etc.

In truth, I am excited for the accessibility to such a wide variety of guests, the zero entry loading, the constant movement, and quite honestly the beauty of the whole project. I was a skyway baby, and can't wait to share this with my family!

Couldn't think of a snarky comment, carry on... :)

I don't remember whether it was on this board, but there was a photo posted of a cabin on property for the wrap installation with a worker standing next to it. It was clear that the gondola could easily seat 10 of those workers; 8 pooh-sized Guests should be no problem. 6 would be stretching out in luxury.

Regardless, that is what it will be like for the majority of the day with the possible exception of the morning opening and probably the evening closing. Other then that there will be far more Gondolas then there will be people to ride them all day long. Do the benches pull out to make a cot? That seems like a neat place to take a nap.

No argument. But saying it can seat 6 at most is incorrect.

A couple things people can look it in this video. 8 people load into the first, followed by 7 in the second and 6 in the one featuring the person filming. It shows not only how 8 can fit easily (I'm betting these are 8 passenger gondolas) but also how quickly they load.

Sorry, a bit off topic, but who wrote the script for him?

My favorite takeaways:

"Guests arriving at the International Gateway station will travel through trees..." Ooooo, trees!!!

"One of the biggest business challenges facing our business..." The most challengingest of business challenges.

"Redesigning the castle to make it bigger and more magical than ever..." than ever!!!!

"Three new cruise ships to our cruise line fleet..." Cruise ships in a cruise line fleet, whodathunkit?

I know I'm being pedantic but, doesn't anyone at WDI have a thesaurus? Or a PR or Journalism degree.

Great video. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure I would pass out about halfway through the journey. I really do not like heights.
