In the write up it notes, they could see 6 people sitting comfortably in these gondolas.
Earlier in these discussions I thought it was mentioned the gondolas would transport
8 to 10 guests. I guess comfort is out the window. (along with a guest or two)
Pure conjecture on my part - Disney thinks 8 people will fit into each gondola, 4x4 on the benches. Reality - This is, at most, a 6 person gondola, or 2 scooters/wheelchairs, maybe 3 if you're lucky.
This only renews my excitement for this project!!! I realized that I have said it before, and have tried not to say much about the 675 pages of what I hope are mostly tongue in cheek jokes about the gondolas of death, lightening, alligators, no ac, etc.Blogmickey.com has some great pics of the gondola from IAAPA

Still not as bad as Elon though. Then again if I had to be the guy that was announcing stupid fast cars or rockets, I'd be stuttering out of sheer excitement.Fun presentation, but looooord he sounds nervous. "Disney Tokyo Sea."
I feel for him.
I don't remember whether it was on this board, but there was a photo posted of a cabin on property for the wrap installation with a worker standing next to it. It was clear that the gondola could easily seat 10 of those workers; 8 pooh-sized Guests should be no problem. 6 would be stretching out in luxury.Pure conjecture on my part - Disney thinks 8 people will fit into each gondola, 4x4 on the benches. Regardless, that is what it will be like for the majority of the day with the possible exception of the morning opening and probably the evening closing. Other then that there will be far more Gondolas then there will be people to ride them all day long. Do the benches pull out to make a cot? That seems like a neat place to take a nap.I don't remember whether it was on this board, but there was a photo posted of a cabin on property for the wrap installation with a worker standing next to it. Disney is using 10 person cabins.
No argument. But saying it can seat 6 at most is incorrect.Regardless, that is what it will be like for the majority of the day with the possible exception of the morning opening and probably the evening closing. The key word would probably be "comfortably", but, I think that I read that they were planning on 8 possible. Not everyone is as fat as some people think. No argument. But saying it can seat 6 at most is incorrect.
A couple things people can look it in this video. 8 people load into the first, followed by 7 in the second and 6 in the one featuring the person filming. It shows not only how 8 can fit easily (I'm betting these are 8 passenger gondolas) but also how quickly they load.
They are planning on 10 but with the larger population they may be happy with 8.The key word would probably be "comfortably", but, I think that I read that they were planning on 8 possible. Not everyone is as fat as some people think.
