Is that a delay? I thought they were previously on track for Spring.
Latest from the rumor tracker (which supports @marni1971 )...
Operational early May 2019. Guests on it within 2-3 months of that timeframe.

Nope.Is that a delay?.
the liftoff from the water would look awesome. The Pop/AoA gondola station. The structure next to the station looks like the beginning work to build the queue, which, according to the artist's concept, will have a swooping wave shape...
I haven't read the whole thread, but would be interested if any one had any information about how the U.S. steel tariffs may be impacting on the costs of the gondola project, given the amount of steel that is going into this infrastructure project. Are major cost over-runs likely on the gondola infrastructure, given that the project was conceived before tariffs were introduced?
Another reason is these lifts came almost entirely from Austria and Switzerland as finished products, not raw steel. Although Doppelmayr operates production facilities in both the US and Canada, they do not produce D-Line components yet.Not at all. This project was bought and paid for long before the tariffs went into effect.
Like Las Vegas casinos: there are moving walkways into the casinos but plain sidewalks and steps to get you out. They would then have to install the one-way gondola systems.
Bioreconstruct's late Friday update on the DHS Skyliner station:
And did this get posted here? It's of the Epcot/IG station:
And a leg would be station to station, turn or not, correct, launch to dive and arrival?More from this Jim Hill guy:
-no A/C but actually just air circulation (seems possible someone saw AC in the specs, which in the lift world refers to an AC motor!)
-speed 17 miles per hour, not 16
-longest leg 3.5-4 minutes

You will rot your brain paying attention to Jim HIllMore from this Jim Hill guy:
-no A/C but actually just air circulation (maybe someone saw AC in the specs referring to an AC motor and assumed A/C.)
-speed 17 miles per hour, not 16 (D-Line stated max is 15.7)
-longest leg 3.5-4 minutes

While Jim gets the initial jump on a rumor, the entirety of the rumor is pretty rough. Martin, Visionary, Magic Feather, and the others here are much more reliable. And remember, Jim is the one that kept claiming there was going to be a/c up until literally now even when every source said otherwise for months.More from this Jim Hill guy:

I thought he said ac (lowercase) stands for air circulation...More from this Jim Hill guy:

Powered fans require far less power than a mechanical cooling system.Martin did say 11Mph for the speed. And air circulation? That's still need power and at that point, why wouldn't you just have a/c?
He did say that. I'm giving a possible alternate explanation because I'm skeptical. Anyone ever play telephone?I thought he said ac (lowercase) stands for air circulation...
I should've realized that before posting...duh.Powered fans require far less power than a mechanical cooling system.
Telephone and salt seem to be key to Jim Hill. It seems he gets a lot of information that is from someone vaguely familiar with something who is trying to seem (or should be) more knowledgeable and this results in a lot of details or logical thought processes becoming qcompletely bungled. He did say that. I'm giving an alternate explanation because I'm skeptical. Anyone ever play telephone?
11 mph = 17.7 km/hAir circulation can be passive or active. But 17 mph!
I’m skeptical of that explanation too.He did say that. I'm giving a possible alternate explanation because I'm skeptical. Anyone ever play telephone?
Is that like doctor? He did say that. I'm giving a possible alternate explanation because I'm skeptical. Anyone ever play telephone?
