But what confuses me tho is when you look at the Disney site photos... the side beam is perpendicular to the line... and the ceiling panels do not show any smooth transition path. Unlike the above example where the side beam is coming off the head of the turn.
Possible that where it'll join the main line will have a rotating switch? Turns 90 degrees? I honestly think it's for a maintenance basket, but I dunno...

Photo update as of Friday, September 28, 2018. Skyliner station construction progress at the Riviera resort. The entrance/exit for this station appears to be on this side of the structure, as a steel framework for the entrance is visible. (Note the dome at the Riviera resort.)

A close-up of the short tower next to the Riviera station leading to Epcot.

A view of the Riviera station (in the distance) from the beach at Aruba (Caribbean Beach Resort). The pavement is being widened here, probably to accommodate the additional foot traffic to and from the Skyliner station.

I don't think so. From what I can tell they will only board on one side.

If they are only going to board on one side then if you were going to Epcot from Riviera you would have to go through CBR and stay in the car until you get to Epcot. I think it's much more likely it will load from both side so you can go direct to either DHS or Epcot.

I'm willing to bet money the transparent panels will be getting wraps with some sort of theming. In particular I'd thing the POP/AoA station lends itself to this treatment nicely.
I doubt it. They actually specified that this station will be bare so the "guests can see the inner workings of the station" aka they didn't feel like theming. Personally, not a big deal. I still think it looks neat.
Not the source of the announcement, but this was the official wording: "Cabins are going to slow down at the Disney Skyliner turn-station along Buena Vista Drive and guests will be able to see the mechanical and aerial elements that make up the Disney Skyliner"

Wasn't this station supposed to allow for guests to see how it works??
No, this is only a turn. No guests will be boarding or exiting at this turn. Only the Riviera station will be a boarding turn station.
Ignore that, I misread your post.

No, this is only a turn. No guests will be boarding or exiting at that station. Only the Riviera station will be a boarding turn station.
I didn't mean that it's a load/unload station, I meant exactly what you'd typed above.

Sorry, both sides of the Gondola is how I read that. Yes, of course their is access coming into the station (unload) and access leaving (load) the station. I guess I just figured that it had been talked about enough over the last 620 pages that it was a given. I'll go have myself flogged with the reeds growing from those alligator invested swamps we are all destined to fall into when the cable breaks.

Now if you are talking about the cabins themselves, which you seem to be implying in your response, I'm not sure I understand what you are referring too. How would they safely get access to the left side of the gondola without running the risk of getting hit by one. They could have given them all AC for what it cost to put automatic doors on both sides to the gondola itself for just one possible location.

I was talking about loading from both sides of the station. There were actually some questions about this recently since we can see the path to one side of the station, but's it's going to have to be a longer more round about path to reach the other side.
