My apologies if this has already been answered, but when is this projected to be finished? Thank you in advance.....
Rumor tracker...
Operational early May 2019. Guests on it within 2-3 months of that timeframe. [here]

I have made that same comment before. We are all used to the monorail - if you really look at them they are mottled - different colors of concrete in spots, dirt, and plenty of tire marks. The monorail beams look anything but clean nowadays.
The problem: all of the blood stains and entrails staining the towers... and Disney’s track record for cleaning stuff like this will leave things fairly macabre...I have made that same comment before. I think in their own way - the Skyliner towers are interesting technical structures, especially the mechanism at the top.
There shouldn't be any blood or entrails. No one is going to ride these death traps in the skies. LOLThe problem: all of the blood stains and entrails staining the towers... and Disney’s track record for cleaning stuff like this will leave things fairly macabre...
Could be a new extension of Haunted MansionThere shouldn't be any blood or entrails. No one is going to ride these death traps in the skies. LOL
Who will be the first” to ride the lightning rod.. or should it be the zapper, shocking for shure. That would be an interesting idea. Based on the fact that it crosses over the parking lots for both BW and DHS I have to assume it's something elevated so a standard light rail system would be out. Could it be a peoplemover system? That would have to be cheaper than a monorail I would think.
Meh... we'll all be dead then anyway so we won't have to listen to it.Yeah we have been filling a lot of space with a lot of speculation, with all kinds of catastrophe situations,
only to find there are logical reasons not to be concerned. Of course, if any of them ever do come true,
there will be a lot of people here wagging their fingers with a big, "I told you so!"
Maybe they should hang skeletons off of different areas of the ride lines, something like POTC, except the skeletons have tourist clothes on. That'd be awesome.
HA!!! I love that idea. Gets rid of some old inventory of unsold T-shirts and unclaimed lost-and-found items. Have them holding a tattered shopping bag to complete the look.
Based on the previous comments in this discussion, I think it is safe to say, we all have a bit of a sick, dark side.
It just reminds me of a say, "We are all going to Hell, but we are probably going to be laughing all the way."
Wow, that's quite the change in view of the IG, crazy stuff, but still can't wait for these to open.Photo update as of Wednesday, August 8, 2018. The Skyliner station progress at Epcot's International Gateway. A new construction fence has been installed in front of the Friendship boat loading queue, perhaps to build a shorter gondola pylon in front of the Skyliner station.
