Think for yourselfer
I hate to disappoint all the gondola sceptics but as of now it looks like 2019 pricing is in line with 2018 pricing, so there are no gondola upcharges as of yet. There are price increases across the board but nothing out of the ordinary as far as I can tell.
Er. What are you talking about? Gondola sceptics? Weird turn of phrase there.

Also, of course they can't raise the prices yet. The Gondola isn't functional. When it's up and running, the prices will increase.

A gondola sceptic = a person who is sceptical of the gondolas. It's not that difficult to understand.

And of course they can raise prices before the gondolas are operational. By your rationale they can't raise resort prices for SW:GE before it's open, i.e. anyone who books before opening for a stay during or after opening would not pay more. We obviously don't have an exact opening date for either one but it would've been very easy to introduce a steady increase for Fall 2019, or Summer even for the gondola resorts, but Fall 2019 is fully in line with Fall 2018.

How can you be sceptical of the gondolas? I truly do not understand what your driving at.

The rest of your post reads like a mishmash of random words. So I’m not gonna try and parse out any meaning there.

I think what she's saying is that WDW doesn't have to wait until new features are open to raise resort rates. That said, as she points out, the rack rates for standard rooms for fall, 2019, have not yet been increased a crazy amount.

To verify that, I compared rates for CBR and CSR for the same week of October 2018 and 2019.
CBR 2018, $224. CBR 2019, $225.67.
CSR 2018, $225.33. CSR 2019, $231.67.

As she said, 2019 is looking a lot like 2018, rack-rate-wise.

That's a 2.8% increase for CSR, or 40% more than the government's claimed rate of inflation.

I'm pretty sure skeptical and skeptic have a k and not a c which could also be where some confusion came from.

Read the previous 506 pages and then maybe you'll get it. I would expect a Think for yourselfer to be able to think before attempting to make someone look stupid. FTFY btw.

Sorry I read gondola septic.....Which sounds like just about the most awful thing ever.

I am sceptical that the gondolas will be hooked up to the sewer system, so the best you can hope for is a poop bucket. Aka a septic system.

I still don't get it though. Are there people sceptical of the gondolas? Like, that they exist?

Or do you mean people who view the gondola project cynically?

If you mean cynically, I guess I sorta get where you are going. "Nee ner nee ner, told you the gondolas would be great, the price didn't even increase at Pop Century"

I disagree with that premise though, as I believe the prices will increase once they can actually sell people a working system.

Anyhoo

Skeptical of what though?

That gondolas are coming?
It’s clearly obvious that they are.

That gondola access to two parks will raise the room rates of the associated resorts?
That goes without saying.

Sorry, I’m not sure what/who a gondola skeptic (spelled anyway you prefer) really means. 🤔

Posted at the same time as me. You probably said it better. 😂

Why are you making such a fuss over a single word? There have been many posters on this very thread who questioned the value of the gondola system and were convinced it would only have downsides such as increased resort rates, ruined sightlines, decreased bus frequencies, etc. I simply described that group of people as sceptics, which is a synonym for cynics.

The point of my post was not to start a discussion over a single word, but to state that Disney have not increased resort rack rates for 2019 due to the Skyliner.
