Isn't that true of the monorail too? That berm collapses and you're talking serious injury too. Or for that matter any of the rides in the parks that go up high? What is the history of gondola lines snapping or being severed? There are enough of these worldwide now we should have a pretty solid history. I believe it's been something like 40 years since the last fatality from a closed cabin gondola accident in the US. It's actually one of the safest forms of transport. If someone with bad intentions wants to attack the system they could probably figure out a way to take it down, but the same goes for monorails, boats, busses or even park rides.That cable gets severed, you're talking serious injuries.
(That's the sort of thing those afraid to ride will think)
