Just revealed... The skit for the German Lumberjack Show at Epcot!

Ich bin ein lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day

I cut down ze trees, I eat my schnitzel
I go to the lavatory
On Mittwochs I go shopping
And have gingerbread for tea

Ich bin ein lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day

I cut down ze trees, I skip and jump
I like to press Edelweiss
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars

Ich bin ein lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day

I cut down ze trees, I wear high heels
Ledherhosen and a bra
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear Papa

Cast in costume performing a life sized glockenspiel on the hour.

Serious point: Why isn't there stuff like a glockenspiel in Germany? That kind of little show/plussing going off every hour would be a nice touch and compliment to the streetmosphere.

That was awesome!

......if only they could get Cleese to don some Lederhosen.....while we're at it how about a pet store in the UK pavilion....The merchandising opportunity would be insane. Everybody would be walking around EPCOT with a dead parrot. The kids wouldn't know it was a dead parrot..they'd think it was just a stuffed toy....The Parents and Grandparents would be laughing their *ss off.

I really think it is a performance venue, "Backstage" entrance, not easily accessible from the front, "largish" paved area in front for people to watch, lights and sound system.... I would LOVE to see a German folk ensemble or small "Oktoberfest" band. Something tells me that Wagnarian opera selections are probably out...

There is a small glockenspiel with two figures in the central courtyard.

(not my pic)

There is also another effect to the side that's part of the Agent P game in Germany.

This looks like it could hold a very nice polka band some day.

I think you're right, this looks like some kind of small music venue. The 2 small "go away green" boxes to the left and right of the stage are probably speaker housings, and in the last photo the 4 small brown boxes along the bottom of the back wall are probably covers for microphone/audio cable hook ups to those green speakers. Looks to me like this will be a home for a German equitant of Mexico's Mariachi Band
