I was just posting the official script that Cast were given on this. With all the jokes about what this venue was going to be used for I thought this would help people who were not sure if the above was a joke or not. I was trying to be helpful.

Interesting. The lady is from Austria, not Germany. I guess the "Bavarian Band" is what makes it German... Seems to be a typical low quality folksy popular music act, very popular in Germany with the over 60s crowd, but otherwise not. I would say it is about as cultural relevant to Germany as Disney Channel music acts are to the US (just different age group, seniors instead of teens).

Part of Bavaria became Austria. The two cultures are very closely tied together.
