I'm wondering if the coffee shop will get further touch ups down the road. Seems like they like this approach now where they open a bit more bare and then add in things later on
As a DVC owner whose home resort is the Boardwalk, I am very happy with the umbrellas. There were few covered places to eat along the Boardwalk area, which made it unpleasant. This is an improvement. The Sundries shop was next to the check in area, it didn’t really carry groceries, but it did have snacks, drinks, some Boardwalk themed merchandise, toiletries items and such. The main gift shop with groceries is located on the Boardwalk itself. If people have to look to umbrellas in order to celebrate "a win" or something being "on-theme", you need to re-think things.
Seeing more pics, that coffee shop looks like it was mostly lifted from a hospital or Generic Chain Hotel, USA.
Do I have this correct, the coffee shop replaced the former sundries shop where DVC members could get "groceries"?
That very much can be the case. This is how Disney has done nearly everything recently -- one area is done well and another area is awful as though they're being handled by completely different isolated groups with no communication or even general oversight.
I think this one is a bit beyond being saved some additions. But you are likely right, there will be a few more touches to come.I'm wondering if the coffee shop will get further touch ups down the road. The like was for the main gift shop info. The rest we’ll have to agree to disagree (even though we admittedly don’t own at BWV), as this feels like putting lipstick on a pig to me. I’ve never understood what the appeal of the actual boardwalk is. Like you said, there’s few places to sit and eat. Few options (the last time I was there) for grab and go. Entertainment was sparse and mainly after dark.As a DVC owner whose home resort is the Boardwalk, I am very happy with the umbrellas. Easy peasy...I think this one is a bit beyond being saved some additions. But you are likely right, there will be a few more touches to come.
highly doubtful...that is what people said about The Riviera Resort and The Enchanted Rose lounge...and they are what they are... I am sure that is what is planned for this as well... nothing.I'm wondering if the coffee shop will get further touch ups down the road. I guess the saddest part is knowing there will always be people cheering them on to more mediocrity, and applauding their removal of theme and design.
Did people actually say that about the Enchanted Rose? It's not spartan or anything, just ill-fitting.highly doubtful...that is what people said about The Riviera Resort and The Enchanted Rose lounge...and they are what they are... I am sure that is what is planned for this as well... nothing.

Like Space220 and Disney Springs projects?I was actually wondering about that. Since it's not Disney owned, will they move faster to open?
