New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

$23 for an egg sandwich. $8 milk. $4 toast.

There's no way this place makes it with the square footage they'll have and the amount of product they'll have to sell. ... Disney probably doesn't really care because when this fails Disney will have a gorgeous space to take over. And if I'm wrong and this is successful then Disney will enjoy the cash influx. Disney won't lose here.

It's nice that they'll be open for breakfast. Disney doesn't offer nearly enough breakfast options if you don't want character dining.

Unfortunately, the pricing is absurd.
Hasn't the Tratorria Al Forno breakfast with Prince and Princess not returned since closure. I do know they serve breakfast there.

Wild because it's at WDW but I don't think it's a place for kids. Not only with pricing but how ingredients used. An Indiana location uses blackberry jam in its kids PBJ. Kids sandwiches for gruyier cheese! Good luck with that, parents! Then kids asking parents "what's a cavatelli noodle?" and parents needing to Google it or ask the server. I think many families are going to see the menu and think "this is not for us" and be driven away, which maybe Cake Bake wants to maintain a very specific higher end clientele without the typical family.

Do any of you think if Summer House on The Lake wasn't there and you had Summer House here and Bake House over where it is at Disney Spring's would it then fit and excuse prices. Whenever I pass by Summer House I know it fits on the waterside but from the movie side. Bake House probably wouldn't survive at Spring's by the prices to me. Summer House on The Lake isn't cheap either. /

Summer House kids meals are like $10, so not bad. That price (at least for kids, adults are expensive) and a kids menu that's not approachable at least doesn't turn people away the same way Cake Bake's will.

And you're right that there's a big difference between being at Disney Springs vs. Boardwalk. Both restaurants are concepts that are self-limiting at price points that will turn people away, so both need to be in high traffic areas to be successful, and that's more Disney Springs than Boardwalk.

Isn't a bottle of soda at WDW resort around $5-7? can't remember.. I don't recall it cheap either.

Besides, why would you want to drink soda there in the first place.
