It would be really funny if they took over two years building this place then it went under faster than that due to prices that are ridiculous even for Disney.

Depending on a few factors (family size, date, etc.) it could be cheaper to upgrade one person to a park hopper and have them run into Epcot to buy stuff from the country bakeries than it would be to buy everyone a slice of cake.

It’s amazing how people continue to be surprised by information that is not new. They’ve been in business for a decade and they charge high prices in Indiana, not New York or Dubai.
The thing is: I don’t generally find Disney pastry prices to be unreasonable. Food at TSRs is pricy, but pastry from bakeries is pretty reasonable compared to what I’m used to in CT.

I won’t pay $24 for a slice of cake in NYC. I certainly won’t in WDW.

It better be something exceptional in quality or ingredients for a cake slice that price 🤔 otherwise screw I know a place on property that has an exceptional and sized cake slice for only $13!!
It’s, like, a foot tall. Basically don’t buy it if you’re one person. It serves two, assuming the slices are the same size as they traditionally have been in Indiana. Yes, it’s expensive if you buy it for yourself. Plan accordingly, as ever.

Good for you? Again, this isn’t some brand new enterprise. They already sell their cakes at high prices.

If the slices are as big as those over at Gideon's, they're definitely shareable, although a slice there is $9, not $24(!).

For that price, the quality better be the best darn slice of cake you'll ever have, lol.

I can't wait for the $26 chicken salad croissant! lol Well I have seen higher prices for things, and the food prices at the WDW resort have always been high.....but $26 for a chicken salad sandwich might be a little over the top. I would still try it...Still think this would have been a better fit with the Grand Floridian and let them handle Afternoon Tea...
